Come and be part of our team – Social Pedagogue for House B in Nødebo

Can you work in a structured way with pedagogy, do you know the cognitive pyramid, which is part of neuro-pedagogy, and can you engage in developing micro-moments with the citizens, then you might have the professional solidity and curiosity that we want to have as a hallmark here at Følstruphusene.

Følstruphusene House B, where we are looking for a new colleague, forms the framework for 10 citizens' lives. The citizens have permanently reduced physical and mental functioning. They live in their own apartments, but there is also a common living room, kitchen and garden, so there is both the option to choose community in or out.

Some of the citizens fall within the autism spectrum; that means that we plan the environment and daily life based on a structured-pedagogical approach. Welfare technology solutions are central in this work. We have e.g. an IBG screen, which contributes to predictability and independence for the citizens. A small portion of the citizens have a dementia diagnosis. For these citizens it is crucial that the pedagogical effort, care and nursing take as their starting point the citizen's own perspective, life history, habits and psychological needs.

We use methods such as LA2 and structured pedagogy to support the citizen's executive functions – this can e.g. be pictograms, IBG screens and individual structured aids such as Time Timer. We work with sensory stimulation in many different ways. If you are employed with us you will help give both theory and methods more forms and concrete expressions.

What is the core task

• development and maintenance of the citizens' skills
• basic care and nursing
• contact person responsibility for the social- and healthcare professional effort, administration and practical tasks
• structured pedagogy with total communication – also with welfare technology aids
• systematic documentation of the professional effort.

• you contribute with your professional knowledge to create the best possibilities for quality of life and development for the citizens
• you have a well-developed ability to mentalize and meet the citizens with empathy, respect and recognition for their individual personalities and integrity
• you are keen to share your knowledge with us – and together work towards common goals based on the citizens' needs.

Where and when?

The position is 37 hours with start on December 1, 2026.

You will have varying working hours. That means weekday free days and that you work every other weekend and on some holidays. The working hours are between 6.30 and 23. Følstruphusene lies very beautifully in Nødebo on the edge of Esrum Lake, about 7 km from Hillerød.
