About the job

Social pedagogues sought for awake night shift – specialized 1:1 task in Frederikshavn City Centre

Do you have calm, patience and strong specialized pedagogical competencies? And can you be the stable base when another persons nervous system is under heavy load?

Team24syv I/S is seeking staff for a specialized 1:1 task in the citizen's own home. You will become part of a fixed team of 4–5 staff who together shall create a stable, predictable and professionally strong effort.

About the task

The citizen has complex support needs within the autism field and is also diagnosed with OCD and schizophrenia. He has a great need for structure, predictability and calm. The support is arranged in his own home with a focus on wellbeing, stability and a more independent everyday life.

The citizen can be rigid and persistent in his communication, especially when he is stressed. Therefore your pedagogical approach is crucial. You should be able to listen, be curious about his perspective and acknowledge his experience without necessarily giving him the right.

You must be able to lend your nervous system

We work with a Low Arousal-inspired approach, where your own calm, your body language, your voice and your pace have great importance.

You must be able to slow down, reduce demands and stimuli, maintain an overview and avoid unnecessary power struggles. You should be able to accommodate frustrations and repetitions, be clear without being confrontational and maintain a calm, professional direction.

In short, we are looking for a staff member who can remain calm when the citizen cannot himself.

Your duties

· Provide close, individual social-pedagogical support.

· Create structure, predictability and safety.

· Support the citizen in everyday activities and practical tasks.

· Handle complex situations with a calm and professional approach.

· Support contact with authorities, the health service and other collaborators.

· Accompany and drive with the citizen as needed.

· Observe and document professionally.

· Collaborate closely with colleagues and management and work loyally according to shared agreements and pedagogical strategies.

Who are we seeking?

We are primarily looking for educated social educators/pedagogues, preferably with experience from the special needs sector. We are also open to unskilled workers with many years of relevant experience and the necessary professional grounding.

It is an advantage if you have experience with autism, neuro-pedagogy, Low Arousal, OCD, psychiatry or complex support needs.

As a person you are calm, patient and accommodating. You are good at listening, can accommodate that things take time, and do not take the citizen3s frustrations personally. You can work independently and in a structured way, but you also thrive in a small team where continuity and a shared professional direction are essential.

The citizen has a preference for female staff or male staff with a calm and gentle demeanor. This preference is weighted in planning the assignment.

Working hours and practical information

· Awake night shift 23:00–07:15.

· Work takes place in the citizen's own home.

· A standard driver's license is required.

· There can, by agreement, be a company car available when driving with the citizen.

· Breaks and practical arrangements are planned with regard to the citizen's needs and the nature of the task.

We offer

· A permanent position in a specialized 1:1 task.

· A small, stable team with close collaboration.

· A professionally challenging assignment with the opportunity to apply your specialized pedagogical competencies.

· Professional sparring with colleagues and management.

· Focus on professionalism, integrity, stability and continuity.

The most important

This is not a task where you will come in to fix the citizen. It is about creating a daily life where he can be in his own home with the greatest possible safety, dignity and predictability.

It is about being present without constantly having to fill the space. About listening, standing firm without engaging in a fight and creating calm when the situation becomes difficult.

If you can see yourself in the task, we would love to hear from you.

We hold ongoing interviews. Send your application and CV to the daily manager Tami Madsen at [email protected]

We look forward to hearing from you!
