Social & Health Care Assistant for the Evening Shift at Østerbæk Nursing Home

Are you a Social and Health Care Assistant (SSA) and want to be part of something new? Østerbæk Plejehjem will become part of Odense Municipality's new respite care offer. From 1 January 2027, Østerbæk Plejehjem will be part of Odense Municipality's new respite care offer. Together with our current nursing home beds, it creates an exciting everyday life where the close relationships with fixed residents are combined with shorter and more complex respite trajectories.

It provides the opportunity to bring the full SSA professional competences into play through observation, coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration and close contact with both citizens, relatives and partner organisations.

We are therefore seeking a Social and Health Care Assistant who wants to become part of a workplace in development, where high professionalism, presence and care go hand in hand.

About the job

We are seeking a Social and Health Care Assistant for a permanent position of 28-37 hours per week, mainly in the evening.

You choose yourself whether you want employment in pure evening shifts or in mixed shifts. We work according to the 5:2 model, where you work every Wednesday and Thursday as well as a weekend shift in odd weeks.

As a Social and Health Care Assistant at Østerbæk you will be an important part of daily life for both our fixed residents and citizens in respite care. You will have a varied day where relationship-building care and presence go hand in hand with professional assessments, coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Your tasks will include

• Holistic care and nursing for residents and citizens
• Observation and follow-up on health status and well-being
• Documentation and update of health professional interventions in Nexus
• Medication handling and delegated nursing tasks
• Participation in resident conferences and interdisciplinary meetings
• Professional sparring with colleagues
• Cooperation with relatives and external partners

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local pay setting.
