Social worker for children and young people aged 0-15 years in Vejen Municipality

Do you have a desire to work with vulnerable Children and Young People aged 0 – 15 years?

Vejen Municipality is seeking a social worker for a permanent position with an interest in the target group, and not least the courage and willingness to contribute to the ongoing implementation of the Child Act. The employment will be anchored in one of our Prevention Teams.

Your tasks in the Prevention Team will include

• Preparation of screenings in accordance with the Child Act §18
• Preparation of child welfare investigations in accordance with Child Act §20 and preparation of a mapping task in accordance with Child Act §19
• Initiation of interventions in accordance with Child Act §30 and §32
• Follow-up of interventions in accordance with Child Act §95
• To coordinate and ensure involvement of both the child/the young person and the family
• To coordinate and ensure the cross-disciplinary effort towards the child/the young person and the family
• To contribute to the professional development in the department

We expect from you that you

• You are a trained social worker
• You preferably have experience in authority work with children and families, and knowledge of ICS and DUBU
• You are able to carry out the authority task with a focus on an inclusive process in relation to the family, the network and partners, and dare to try new paths
• You have a resource-oriented and acknowledging approach to children and families with difficult social problems
• You work systematically, structured and can keep an overview in pressurized situations
• You wish to contribute to a good working environment in the department

The Authority area 0-15 years in Vejen municipality is as of 1.5.26 organized with a reception, 3 prevention teams, an placement team, family foster consultants and a professional coordinator.

In addition, the family area has supporting functions including regarding own payment, contract negotiations and legal assistance.

You will become part of an organization that in spring 2026 has undergone a reorganization, where youth have become an independent area under the organization Youth & Family.

In the organization there is a focus on a cohesive policy for children and young people and thus also close cooperation with the other areas across the Youth & Family Department.

Terms of employment

There is a permanent position with flexible working hours of 37 hours per week by agreement.

The position is desired to be filled on January 1, 2027.

Workplace: Brørup Area Office, Stadionvej 15, 6650 Brørup.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with applicable collective agreement.
