About the job

Since our permanent social worker is going on maternity leave, we are seeking a maternity leave substitute who can contribute with social work knowledge to both our child and adolescent team and our adult team.

We are looking for you who have the courage and desire to work in the complex field with patients with eating disorders and who can see yourself helping to strengthen the efforts for people who have an eating disorder.

The target group is patients undergoing treatment in the Eating Disorders Clinic, where there is a need to ensure the establishment and coordination of cross-sector collaboration between the treatment team and the patient’s other networks, including school, municipality and other interventions around the patient. You will carry the contact in this collaboration and be the link between the different systems.

There will be further development of previously gained experience with eating support and support for self-harm in the patient’s local environment. This is with a view to supporting and helping patients in a transition between treatment and rehabilitation.

You will be attached to the child and adolescent team, but must also be available for the patients who are attached to the adult team. A common feature for both teams is that work is interdisciplinary, and you will in that context be required to contribute with social work knowledge and competencies.

You will also enter into close cooperation with the social worker who is employed in our advanced initiative and the on-call ward’s social worker, and at the same time be attached to a mono-disciplinary team of social workers across the entire Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

We are looking for

  • A trained social worker, socionom or social facilitator
  • Preferably experience from working with children and adolescents as well as adults with mental health difficulties and their families
  • Preferably experience with working with severe eating disorders
  • Experience from the authority role, preferably from the child and family area and/or the adult area
  • Ability to collaborate constructively and development-oriented to ensure good coherence between the treatment of the eating disorder and the other support needs the patient has.
  • Ability to independently manage specific social worker tasks including preparation of notifications, coordination and holding network meetings, guidance on leave options etc.
  • Can contribute with social work specialist knowledge in the cross-disciplinary teams in the clinic

Work is across professional groups, including doctors, psychologists, nurses, dietitians, social workers and secretaries.

The clinic also includes a day ward, where patients attend four days a week and receive milieu therapy and meals support. In addition, we have an advanced function that handles treatment in the more acute phase.

  • Guide on leave options for parents/relatives
  • Continuously engage in collaboration with other treaters from the Center for Eating Disorders and help ensure a smooth handover between the different treatment options the patient can participate in (Clinic, day treatment, forward-leaning initiative and on-call ward).

  • A thorough introduction
  • To join a dedicated and professionally highly qualified therapy team
  • Part of the mono-disciplinary team in the Center for Eating Disorders, where there is an opportunity for mono-disciplinary sparring with 2 other social workers employed in the Center for Eating Disorders, as well as a larger mono-disciplinary team across social workers in the entire Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
