Social workers for the Children and Youth Area - Family Section

Several of our skilled colleagues are going on parental leave, and therefore we are looking for new child and youth counselors for the Family Section.

Your tasks

As a child and youth counselor you will among other things

• offer advice and guidance to children, youths and families
• screen, assess and prepare child-related reports
• hold inclusive conversations with children and youths
• hold parent meetings and network meetings
• initiate, coordinate and follow up on support initiatives
• be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of a health visitor, psychologist and speech therapist
• prepare cases for the Children and Youth Committee, including placement cases, and follow up on these.

Who are you?

• are a trained social worker or social mediator
• have an interest in or experience with authority work in the child and youth area
• can build trusting relationships with children, youths and families
• work structured and can maintain an overview in complex cases

About the Family Section

We are 48 engaged social workers distributed across three social district teams, a reception, two specialized teams and a baby team. Here both newly trained and experienced employees work side by side, and many have been employed with us for many years.

In addition, the department consists of three placement consultants, an administrative team that supports tasks across the department, four professional leaders and a section leader.

We sit together at the town hall together with administration, health visitors, speech therapists and psychologists. The physical proximity makes sparring and collaboration easy and supports our strong multidisciplinary culture.

We also work closely with our execution unit to develop the offers and initiatives that best help children, youths and families.
