About the job

Do you want to help create the best opportunities for children, youth and their families?

In the Family Department in Gladsaxe Municipality we are recruiting several dedicated social workers or social facilitators for 2 permanent positions and 1 maternity substitute.

With us you will be part of an ambitious workplace with high professional standards, strong colleagues and close interprofessional collaboration. We believe that the best solutions are created together—with the children, the young people and their families at the center.

We work purposefully with quality in case handling, high professional standards and development of our authority work, while we also prioritize a good working environment, sparring and professional development.

About the position

You will become part of a committed authority team, where you follow children, youth and their families through case processes with a focus on inclusion, interdisciplinarity and participation opportunities for all.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Process and follow up on cases under the Child Act.
  • Prepare child-related investigations, assessments, journal notes and action plans.
  • Ensure timely and professionally well-founded documentation.
  • Plan, coordinate and follow up on interventions in close cooperation with children, young people, families and partners.
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary meetings and contribute to holistic solutions.

Participation opportunities for all

In Gladsaxe Municipality we work from the ambition of participation opportunities for all. We want all children and young people to experience being part of meaningful communities, and therefore our social work is closely connected to their daily life.

As a advisor you will therefore have 1-2 fixed days per week where you are attached to a district school. Here you join a close interprofessional team together with PPR, family counselors and the school’s other professional staff. The fixed presence creates closeness to the children and families, strengthens interprofessional collaboration and provides good opportunities for early intervention and shared solutions.

About the Family Department

The Family Department consists of about 70 employees distributed across reception, a specialist team, three district teams, four family foster consultants, a safety planning team, three family coordinators, 3 professional coordinators, and seven managers.

We are part of Family and Counseling in the Children and Culture Administration and work every day to create the best development opportunities for children, young people and their families.

We are in full swing with the implementation of DUBU and work systematically with methods such as FIT (Feedback Informed Treatment), which supports inclusion, dialogue and ongoing evaluation of our interventions.

We highly prioritize professional development and emphasize sparring, knowledge sharing and a good collegial community.

We are looking for you who

  • Are educated social worker or social facilitator.
  • Have experience with authority work in the children's and youth area or are eager to develop within the field.
  • Have a sense of quality and work structurally with documentation and case handling.
  • Can keep an overview in complex cases and make professional assessments.
  • Thrive with both independent work and close interprofessional collaboration.
  • Meet children, young people and families with curiosity, respect and an acknowledging approach.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the Child Act, ICS and relevant professional systems.

We offer

With us you get

  • A permanent position in a development-oriented family department.
  • A thorough introduction and a good onboarding process.
  • Close professional sparring with experienced colleagues and management.
  • Opportunity for ongoing competence development.
  • A strong interprofessional collaboration with, among others, PPR, schools and family counselors.
  • Flexible work arrangement and the possibility of working from home 3 days per month after agreement.
  • An workplace with focus on well-being, psychological safety and high professional quality.
