The Center for Substance Abuse and Prevention is organizationally anchored in the Center for Social Efforts in Holstebro Municipality. Here we provide outpatient substance abuse treatment for citizens from Holstebro, Struer and Lemvig municipalities.

The target group is citizens with a problematic use or addiction to drugs and their relatives. We work from a holistic approach where the individual citizen's goals, motivation and resources are central in the treatment process.

The staff group consists of about 25 employees with psychological, health, social and pedagogical backgrounds. We work closely together in a multidisciplinary environment where professional sparring and collaboration is an important part of daily life.

Work tasks

You will be part of the center's overall treatment efforts and work with outpatient substance abuse treatment for citizens with various problems and life situations.

Your tasks will among other things be to

• conduct individual outpatient treatment programs
• plan and facilitate group treatment
• prepare treatment plans, journal notes and admission proposals
• cooperate with internal and external partners
• contribute to teaching and professional communication to relatives and partners

We expect that you

• are a trained social worker (minimum bachelor level)
• have an interest in the substance area and preferably experience with treatment
• can work structured and maintain overview in a day with different tasks
• have good teamwork and communication skills
• can work independently and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment
• can take care of documentation and administrative tasks as a natural part of the treatment work

We also would like

• have further education in cognitive addiction treatment or related methods
• have experience from the addiction and/or psychiatry field
• have knowledge about dual-focused addiction treatment
• can balance empathetic understanding with professional expertise

Further information

Part of the work also takes place in our satellite functions in Struer and Thyholm, and therefore you should expect work days with travel there a couple of times a week.

Work travel will therefore occur, and it is a requirement to have a driver's license and access to your own car.
