About the Youth Initiative in Norddjurs

The Youth Initiative and UU in Norddjurs share a single entry point for young people aged 15 to 29. We work holistically, cross-disciplinary and in a coordinated manner based on the young person's single plan. Our approach is motivating and strengths-based, and we believe that all young people have potential for education, work and an independent life.

In the Youth Initiative we handle Educational Guidance, Case management in both the employment and social areas, Vocational targeted actions, Support functions such as mentor, youth support, contact person and housing support.

We cover the entire Norddjurs Municipality and are physically located in modern premises centrally in Grenaa, where we prioritise a youth-friendly environment and a strong professional community.

About the position

We are seeking a social worker who thrives in a varied responsibilities and sees the strength in working across laws and actions.

There is a position with a wide professional span, where there is both the possibility and the need to work holistically with the young person. You will have the opportunity to follow cases closely and coordinate actions across sectors so that the young person experiences coherence and meaning.

As part of the position you will also come close to the young people through participation in our internal onboarding offer , which you will join for one morning per week.

Your main tasks

Case management in the areas of

• Employment services for young people between 15 and 30
• Social area (§ 82 and § 85)
• Children’s Act (contact person, youth support, as well as applications for after-school programs)
• Possibility to work with young people in our internal reception/onboarding offer
• Apply a strengths-based and motivating approach in working with the young
• Actively participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration with the young person’s plan as a common governance tool
• Ensure documentation in the professional systems Dubo, Nexus, Fasit and Uno-ung

In addition you will

• Contribute to the implementation of the new employment reform
• Contribute to the development of workflows and actions based on empowerment and recovery
• Participate in shared learning and development of the cross-disciplinary and cross-coordinating work in KUI

We imagine that you

• Have a social science education (social worker or social facilitator)
• Have experience with authority work within employment and/or social areas
• Are motivated by working with young people in vulnerable positions and believe in their potential
• Work in a structured way, are strong in writing and have a sense of wholes
• Take responsibility, are development-oriented and contribute with professional engagement
• Are strong in building relationships, respectful and trust-building in collaboration with young people, colleagues and partners
• Have a B driving licence
