Are you a social worker who is passionate about the profession, about people and wants to make a difference? Then you might be the one we are looking for in the Social Authority.

As one of our good colleagues has chosen to try new challenges, we are seeking a social worker for a permanent position of 37 hours per week with starting date 1 January 2027.

In addition, we are seeking a social worker for a 1-year temporary position – also starting 1 January 2027. The position is a part-time role of 15-20 hours per week, possibly in a flex job.

In the department there are three teams – Handicap, Social and Psychiatry – all working with authority tasks within the specialized adult area. The common mindset in the department is based on a recovery-oriented approach, where the aim is that the support should help the citizen achieve as much independence and mastery of their own everyday life as possible.

You will become part of our total group of social workers, which consists of 21 dedicated advisers and 1 social work student who also are passionate about the target group. You will be responsible for your own tasks, case portfolio, and you will participate in team collaboration where we help each other as needed.

Your tasks will include, among others, the following

• Processing applications under, among others, the Social Services Act sections 84, 85, 97, 103, 104, 107, 108 and 109.
• Preparation of functional assessments and professional assessment of the citizen's support needs.
• Preparation of action plans in accordance with the Social Services Act and based on the citizen's hopes and dreams.
• Coordination and collaboration with relevant actors and partners.
• Follow-up on ongoing interventions and goals, including ensuring that needs, interventions and rates align.
• The part-time position will mainly include tasks related to relocation without consent and guardianship.

• Can stay calm in high-pressure situations.
• Thrive in a changing daily life in a house with an informal tone.
• Have a flair for working with various IT systems.

Salary and employment terms according to the current collective agreement and the NyLøn principles.
