About Søndersø Residential Facility

Søndersø is a long-term residential facility where citizens need extensive help to master their lives due to significantly reduced cognitive and/or physical functional abilities.

Søndersø is organizationally affiliated with the Center for Social Psychiatry and Substances, where we fall under the Social Supervisory Authority and the Danish Health Authority.

We will host a tour for interested applicants on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 16:30 to 17:30 at Sdr. Boulevard 2A, 4930 Maribo. Participation does not require registration.

At Søndersø we work with a basis in neuro-educational approaches and methods that are relevant to the target group’s special needs, which is assessed to lead to positive results for the citizens. We work from a neuro-pedagogical framework aimed at supporting each person in compensating for their limitations by developing new strategies based on the citizens' resources. Neurological disorders may include, among others, acquired brain injury after a stroke, brain bleed, sclerosis, CP, accidents, etc.

At Søndersø we celebrate life, and on any occasion or holiday we give even the smallest moments attention. We have an engaged support association that contributes to activities and festive events.

About the position

We are seeking a professionally trained employee who has the desire, the abilities, and not least the personality to be employed at Søndersø.

As a staff member at Søndersø you will take on responsibilities as the contact person for 1-2 citizens, where everything from personal care, finances, new clothes, optician appointments and doctor visits, and much more are part of everyday life.

At Søndersø we work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative. We have a positive approach to new challenges and are not guided by rules, but by common sense, and we view humor as an important element in daily work.

We have health professional and pedagogical staff, where the work tasks are carried out across disciplines. There is an opportunity to develop pedagogically in activities with the citizens as well as in daily care and practical help. Where we meet the difference in professional fields is when you are employed as SSA.

The SSA staff at Søndersø are responsible for dispensing medication, where they actively work with FMK – shared medication card. Health professional competencies are brought into play in daily work where we encounter minor wound care tasks, medical conversations, risk medications and documentation. There is close collaboration and sparring with Søndersø’s nurse. You will encounter a good combination of somatic and psychiatric tasks.

The communication is informal and open, and we place great emphasis on continuous professional and personal development. Further training and continuing education are possible, so professional knowledge and competencies develop.

We have service staff who prepare meals and handle daily cleaning.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is conducted according to applicable collective agreements and the principles of local wage formation.

SSA, Salary range 37 hours incl. housing allowance: 30,583.26 /mo – 35,874.01 /mo, plus pension 14% and flexible choice 1.29%.

SSH, Salary range 37 hours: 27,536.34 /mo – 32,277.92 /mo, plus pension 14% and flexible choice 1.29%.

Pedagogical assistant, Salary range 37 hours: 28,854.73 /mo – 31,678.19 /mo, plus pension 14.10%.

Social educator, Salary range for 37 hours is 32,863 kr /mo – 37,424 kr /mo, plus pension 14.95%.

Day shift 34 h per week.

The position includes every other weekend, as well as holidays.

Start date 1 December 2026.
