Social and Health Care Assistant for permanent night shift at Søndervang Nursing Home in Låsby

Søndervang Nursing Home is a smaller and very cozy nursing home with 19 permanent residences and 1 respite place.

We are looking for an engaged social- and health care assistant for a permanent night shift position of 30 hours per week with a 7/7 rotation and with commencement on 1 January 2027.

As a night guard you will have an important role in ensuring that our residents feel safe, are treated with respect and receive the help and care they need through the night.

You will become a meaningful part of the residents’ everyday life. You help create calm, familiarity and continuity - also during the hours when there is more quiet in the house.

You work alone at the nursing home during the night, but you are never alone, as help can be called in from the multidisciplinary team and the night nurse.

We are looking for you who thrive with independent work, can keep an overview and make professionally well-founded decisions - even when the situation requires quick action.

We are looking for you who…

• Are trained social- and health care helper - and eager to work with elderly people
• Work independently, with responsibility and high professionalism
• Have a eye for the individual resident's needs
• Create security through presence, calm, care and an appreciative communication
• Can observe changes in residents’ condition, respond appropriately and relay important observations
• Have a good pedagogical approach and can meet people with dementia and other cognitive challenges with patience, understanding and respect
• Work rehabilitative and support residents in maintaining their independence and functional ability for as long as possible
• Contribute actively to a good working environment and constructive collaboration with colleagues across shifts
• Will help with some practical tasks that need to be solved during the night, so the house is ready for a new day
