Deputy head of security and IT

Security tasks are becoming more central and taking up more of everyday life. Therefore we in the Ministry of Economics and the Interior are seeking an experienced and professionally strong deputy head who can make the right priorities and set the professional direction for the work with the ministry's security and IT tasks.

About the position

The position is organized in Corporate Governance, which consists of 12 employees working with a broad palette of administrative tasks such as financial management and internal service.

The deputy head position includes coordination of professional tasks and professional leadership, but since this is a smaller team the execution of especially security-related tasks will also fill the daily work. Tasks related to the security area are expected to fill the majority of the position.

You will become a key person in the ministry's overall security work and will have a broad, cross-cutting role across the entire ministry. You will work closely with external suppliers as well as other ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Civil Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Agency for Civil Security and Crisis Management, State IT and Building Agency, as well as with managers and staff in the house.

The Ministry of Economics and the Interior is a new organization, where there is good opportunity to put your own mark on task solving and engage with many varied tasks.

As deputy head you will among other things be responsible for

• Progress in the ongoing development of the Ministry of Economics and the Interior's security unit
• Coordination and professional sparring with staff
• Maintenance and further development of policies, procedures and documentation based on ISO 27001
• Emergency planning
• Physical security, including access control and securing premises and assets
• Coordination of audits and handling of deviations and continuous improvements
• Risk assessments and follow-up on security measures within physical and digital security
• Handling and follow-up on acute information security incidents
• Planning and execution of awareness activities, exercises and emergency planning

The Ministry of Economics and the Interior is not a large IT organization, which means the primary tasks in this area are expected to be professional sparring and prioritization with staff.

The position presupposes that you can obtain security clearance and maintain the clearance during employment.

About you

You have experience with or a strong interest in information security and you can translate requirements and risks into solutions that work in practice. You have knowledge of ISO 27001, understanding of risk management, security measures and documentation. It is also an advantage if you have insight into the IT field.

Knowledge of NIS2, GDPR and AI is an advantage. You have strong IT competencies, strong collaboration skills and enjoy working across the entire ministry. At the same time you are able to drive and carry out projects and development tasks in close cooperation with colleagues and external partners.

Terms of employment

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The position is at the senior consultant level and to be filled as soon as possible.

The workplace is the Ministry of Economics and the Interior in Copenhagen.
