There is full activity in the kitchens as, in the coming years, we face a major expansion of the canteens nationwide in connection with the general strengthening of the Armed Forces. As an employee of the Establishment and Terrain Command, you will be part of the Armed Forces Canteens and a large community. We run 56 canteens across the country. About the position

As a sous-chef, you are the kitchen manager's right-hand person in daily operations. Your primary task is to work in the kitchen, while you also support and assist the kitchen manager with administrative tasks. You will have a varied workday with flexible hours.

• Your fixed workplace is: The Royal Navy's Sergeant School in Bangsbo, Frederikshavn.
• The position is 37 hours per week.
• Your working hours will primarily be 06:00-19:30.
• Evening and weekend work will occur.

About you

We are looking for you who will create magic in the pots and joy on the plates with us. In addition, we would like you to have:

• A passion for leadership
• You are service-minded and able to build good relationships with both colleagues and guests
• Others describe you as good at teaching and patient in the process
• You love rethinking, developing, and implementing new, healthy and sustainable food concepts that make guests happy
• You are responsible and good at pulling a smile when things are moving fast

You must be able to present an apprenticeship certificate as a gastronome with a specialization as chef, caterer, nutrition assistant or another relevant professional education.

A category B driver's license is required.

Terms of employment

The employment is conducted in accordance with the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations – The Public Sector (OAO-S collective agreement) and the organizational agreement for food-related personnel – kitchen, concluded between the Ministry of Finance, CO10 - The Central Organization of 2010 and The Professional Trade Union (3F).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating allowances. The position includes an employer-funded pension scheme.

The place of work is in Frederikshavn.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence's area, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain a security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout the employment.

You have as an employee an obligation to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with the aim of participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-building, humanitarian and other similar operations.

The Establishment and Terrain Command (ETK) supports and serves military and civilian authorities under the Ministry of Defence. Our task is to deliver and develop attractive physical frameworks that are necessary for their daily work.

We build new, maintain, operate canteens and clean service locations across the country.
