Specialist physician for Departments 1, 2 and 3, Radiology and Scanning, AUH

At Radiology and Imaging AUH, sections 1, 2, 3, a position as a specialist in radiology is available for appointment from 1 December 2026, or by agreement.

The position is part of the musculoskeletal team. The areas of work are primarily musculoskeletal radiology, where there will be opportunities for further subspecialization. We work with all areas of diagnostic imaging within bones and other parts of the musculoskeletal system. There are descriptions of X-ray, CT and MRI. MR arthrographies and ultrasound examinations including ultrasound-guided biopsies/ punctures/ blocks are performed. Within CT intervention, CT-guided biopsies as well as CT-guided RFA treatments and blocks are performed.

The professional responsibility for multitrauma CT scans from AUH's trauma center and other acute injuries is also part of the group's work.

The position is desired to be filled by a specialist in diagnostic radiology. It is expected that the applicant has an interest in musculoskeletal radiology. Competences within musculoskeletal ultrasound, MR diagnostics including arthrographies and invasive CT procedures are viewed positively. In addition, we want a colleague who sees opportunities and can be innovative on behalf of radiology in a healthcare system in flux and where transformation is a natural part of everyday life. The position is, as a rule, with on-call duties, depending on the applicant's professional profile.

We are a multidisciplinary department that places high professional standards and collaboration with the clinical departments. We have a good working environment, are flexible and have room for questions and training. We educate specialists in radiology and supervision of interns and junior doctors is part of the daily work. As a university hospital we go ahead and strive to be able to solve all diagnostic challenges and gladly use our professional network nationally and internationally when needed.
