Then you now have the opportunity to become part of the Special Advisory Service in Greve Municipality's Family Counseling.

We are seeking a family counselor for a permanent position of 37 hours per week.

About the job

As a family counselor in the Special Advisory Service, you will be responsible for authority tasks under the Children's Act. You must be able to ensure that the child’s perspective is central, navigate complex cases, make decisions and stand by your professional assessments – even when it is difficult.

The work includes, among other things

• Advice and guidance to children, young people and their parents in relation to the Children's Act.
• Process applications and follow-ups regarding disability compensation benefits, such as compensation allowance, lost earnings and respite.
• Handle notifications, including 24-hour assessments, party hearings and social-work assessments.
• Conduct screenings, scoping assessments and child-focused investigations
• Initiation and follow-up of supportive interventions.
• Participation in meetings with children, parents and partners, including chairing meetings.
• Written documentation of case processes and decisions.

We are looking for someone who

• Is trained as a social worker, social educator or has a professional background with an understanding of authority work, legislation and administrative processes.
• Has natural professional calm and presence, and can create security and direction in meetings.
• Can maintain an overview and create structure in a busy daily life.
• You have a flair for the administrative side of the work and thrive with calculation tasks.
• Dares to make decisions, but also be curious and investigative.
• Communicates clearly and respectfully, both in writing and verbally.
• Has a mentalizing approach and can meet citizens and partners with respect.
• Contributes to honest dialogues and a healthy collaborative environment.

About us

The Family Counseling in Greve consists of 36 family counselors distributed across the intake, general and specialist areas.

The Special Advisory Service consists of 8 staff members who work with children and young people with substantial and long-term impaired physical or mental function. For example, children with autism, physical disability, cognitive challenges, physical or mental illness, where the child and family need help and support.

We work holistically based on Greve Municipality's view of children and the ICS method, supported by the IT system DUBU. We focus on high professional quality, close sparring and a good collegial community, where there is also room for laughter.

Practical

The position is 37 hours per week and is expected to be filled by December 1, 2026. Interviews will be held in week 44.

Employment is in accordance with applicable collective agreement.
