Speech pathologist sought for Language Classes at Årby School

Our offering is growing - and therefore we are seeking a speech-language pathologist for the Language Classes at Årby School to start as soon as possible and no later than January 1.

The language class is a school provision for children of compulsory schooling age who, on the basis of language difficulties, have been assessed for language classes. The provision covers from kindergarten through to and including the 2nd grade level and is aimed at normally intelligent children with speech-language difficulties.

We offer a small and structured learning environment, where we work purposefully to develop the students' linguistic, academic and social skills – and at the same time strengthen their self-esteem and well-being.

About the position

The position is a full-time role, where you will be responsible for

• Language teaching in collaboration with the pedagogy staff and teacher in small groups
• Speech-language pathology tasks, including assessment, preparation of action plans and development descriptions
• Close collaboration with the school's other staff in the language program

You will become part of a team consisting of a speech-language pathologist, a pedagogue, a kindergarten-class leader and/or a teacher, and you will engage in close collaboration with both internal and external partners.

The duties include, among others

• Group and individual teaching and joint planning
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and meeting activity
• Preparation of action plans and documentation
• Participation in team meetings, staff meetings, courses and theme days

• Are a trained speech-language pathologist
• Have knowledge and experience of children's linguistic and general development
• Can work independently and in a structured way
• Have a positive and affirming view of children
• Trive in a cross-disciplinary collaboration and with children from different cultures
