Spire job with a focus on activities and community at Jægersborghave

Are you between 14 and 17 years old, and would you like a part-time job where you make a difference for other people? Do you want to create joy, presence and good experiences for elderly people? Then a spire job at Jægersborghave might be something for you!

We are looking for an engaged and caring spire for our nursing home, who wants to help activate the residents and create a cozy and meaningful everyday life together with the residents.

What is a spire job?

As a spire with us you will become an important part of the residents' everyday life. Your primary focus will be to create joy, companionship and activities that give the residents a desire to participate and be part of the community.

You will among other things help plan and carry out small activities that match the residents' interests, needs and different functional levels.

It can for example be

• To play cards, board games or other cozy games.
• To read aloud from newspapers, books or magazines.
• To sing songs together with the residents.
• To take short walks with the residents.
• To do creative activities such as drawing, painting or other small projects.
• To talk with the residents and listen to their stories and experiences.
• To help create cozy moments around coffee, music and social togetherness.
• To help organize small activities and shared experiences on the department.

The most important is not that you can do it all in advance, but that you want to be with other people and contribute to a good everyday life for our residents.

How to become a good spire with us

To become a good spire it is important that you are approachable, curious and eager to create contact with older people.

You do not need to have experience with elder care. We will help you get started and support you in the tasks.

• Can take initiative and contribute with good ideas.
• Want to create joy and good experiences for the residents.

As a spire you will have the opportunity to make a concrete difference in other people's lives. You will experience how much a smile, a good conversation or a cozy activity can mean to another person.

Perhaps the job will also be the start of an interest in the elderly care field or a future education within health and care.

Who are we?

At Jægersborghave you will become part of a dedicated community consisting of among others social and health care assistants, health care assistants, nurses and other staff.

We work together to create safety, care and quality of life for our residents. We believe that small experiences and close companionship can make a big difference in daily life.

As a spire you will become an important part of this community, where your ideas, your energy and your engagement help create life and joy on the department.

Employment and working hours

We tailor your spire shifts to your schooling. You may work up to 12 hours in a school week, and the specific working hours are from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

The tasks are adjusted to your age, and you will be paid according to the applicable collective agreement and covered by the Holiday Act rules.

When employed in the elderly care sector in Gentofte Municipality, a criminal background check must be retrieved digitally with your consent.
