About the job

Do you want to use your professional expertise to create a good life – on the citizen's terms?

CBA-Skive is seeking a social and health assistant or a social and health helper for CBA-Nord

Are you passionate about working with people with developmental disabilities? Do you have a strong professional competence that you are willing to stand on and bring into play, together with others? And do you believe that the citizen's wishes, choices and perspective should be the starting point for the support we provide?

Then you may be the colleague we are looking for.

CBA-Nord consists of the residential facilities at Nattergalevej, Mejsevej 1 and Mejsevej 12, as well as the Vestergade Co-housing.

In CBA-Nord we value community and collaboration highly – both at the individual residential facility and across our offerings.

We hire in combination positions, and you will therefore in time be able to experience having tasks at other offerings in CBA-Skive. Your primary affiliation will be with Mejsevej 1 Residential Facility.

Who are we?

CBA-Skive consists of activity and social offering, co-housings, respite care, and 24-hour care for citizens with developmental disabilities.

For us, self-determination means more than giving the citizen choices. The citizen is the main person in their own life, and our task is to support the individual in gaining the greatest possible influence on their own life, even when impairment and communication difficulties mean that wishes and needs do not always come clearly to expression.

It places demands on our professionalism. We must be curious, investigative and reflective, and always be aware of the balance between care, support and the citizen's right to decide over their own life.

At Mejsevej 1 Residential Facility eight citizens aged 25 to 69 live. The citizens have reduced physical and cognitive function, as well as communication difficulties to varying degrees. They require both pedagogical, practical and personal support.

We work purposefully to create well-being, development and quality of life together with the individual citizen.

A professional environment in development

We want professionalism to be tangible in everyday life.

We work, among other things, with KRAP (Cognitive, Resource-Oriented and Appreciative Practice) as a method and approach. This means that we have an eye for the citizen's resources, perspective and possibilities and are curious about what lies behind each individual's actions and reactions.

Samtidig er vi i gang med at implementere LA2U. Her arbejder vi blandt andet med trivsel, mestring og forebyggelse af mistrivsel og konflikter, med afsæt i borgerens perspektiv.

We do not expect you to know everything in advance. Instead, we expect you to want to develop professionally, reflect on your own practice and be an active part of our shared professional development.

With us, you may ask questions about what we usually do. Professional reflection, sparring and different perspectives are an important part of the work.

What can we offer?

With us you become part of a workplace where

  • professionalism and the citizen's perspective have a central place
  • we prioritize professional sparring, reflection and development
  • you receive ongoing supervision in the team and opportunities for competence development
  • you will have responsibility and the opportunity to influence both the citizens' daily lives and our professional practice
  • you become part of a safe collegial community where we help each other and at the same time dare to challenge each other professionally
  • you collaborate across professions and departments in a large organization
  • you get the opportunity to be with the citizens in everyday tasks, activities and experiences.

Working hours are at varying times across day and evening, as well as weekdays, weekends and holidays. In principle you work every 2nd weekend.

Is it you we are looking for?

We are looking for a colleague who places a high value on professionalism and stands strong in their own professional expertise – and who at the same time is curious about others' perspectives.

You must be able to justify your professional choices and be willing to examine your own practice. We believe that high professionalism is about knowing something, being able to do something and daring to be curious about whether we can do something even better.

We also hope that you

  • meet the citizens with respect, curiosity and empathy
  • see the citizen's self-determination as a fundamental starting point for your work
  • can be investigative into the citizen's perspective – even when the citizen cannot express their wishes in words
  • can work professionally with the balance between care, professional responsibility and self-determination
  • see complexity as something that calls for professional reflection rather than quick solutions
  • contribute actively to professional sparring and dare to bring your own observations and perspectives into the team
  • see it as natural to switch between pedagogical, health-professional, practical and personal support tasks
  • contribute to a good working community with engagement and a good mood
  • hold a Class B driver's license, as driving a disability bus is part of the daily duties.

Have we captured your interest?

Send us your CV and your application and tell us, if you will, what good professionalism means to you, and how you work to support the citizen's self-determination and possibility to live a good life.

We look forward to hearing from you.
