At Plejecenter Højgården in Farsø we are seeking a social and healthcare assistant for our somatic ward.

Somatic care requires both professionalism and human insight

With us you will meet residents with different illnesses, complex care needs and dementia. No person is the same, and no day is completely predictable.

An change in behaviour can be a sign of pain. Fatigue can be the beginning of an illness. And sometimes the most important professional action is to pause, observe and understand what the resident is trying to tell you.

It takes more than good routines. It requires professional curiosity, clinical insight and the ability to see the person behind the illness.

Your SSA professionalism needs to come into play

At Højgården we work proactively to strengthen the SSA’s professional role. We want a daily life where tasks are distributed according to the residents’ needs and the employees’ competences.

As an SSA you will become an important part of the daily care and assistance, but also of the health-care evaluations, observations and follow-ups.

You will have a central role in

• Observing, assessing and responding to changes in residents’ health and well-being.
• Carrying out health-care tasks, medication management and documentation.
• Creating coherence in residents’ care and treatment pathways.
• Collaborating and sparring with SSH colleagues, nurses and other professional groups.
• Actively contributing to the development of our professional practice.

Who are you?

You are trained as a social- and health care assistant and eager to use your professional skills.

You are curious, responsible and good at building relationships. You can work independently, but you also know that the best solutions are often found together with others.

Whether you are newly graduated or experienced is not decisive.

The most important thing is your professional approach, your engagement and your desire to learn.

Practical information

• Workplace: Plejecenter Højgården, Farsø
• Working hours and shift pattern: 37 hours/week or by agreement, mixed shifts, primarily daytime shifts
• Start date: 1 January or by agreement
• Application deadline: Friday 6 November
• Employment interviews: Wednesday 11 November
