Social and Health Care Helper Trainee – a meaningful education close to life

Are you at least 18 years old? And would you like to start the Social and Health Care Helper education – then the opportunity is here now. You start the education's Grundforløb 2 in week 06 in 2027.

If you have an education agreement starting at Grundforløb 2, you are guaranteed a supervision/ apprenticeship period and pay throughout your entire education.

The Social and Health Care Helper education is a sandwich program with 3 school periods and 2 apprenticeship periods respectively at a care center and in home care.

• RKV – if you are 25 years or older
• Certificate of education for another education
• Employment certificate and the last payslip from a previous employer in the field

Enrollment in the education

To start the education you must,

• Apply for admission to Grundforløb 2 at optagelse.dk and then apply for this position.
• If you are 25 years or older when you start Grundforløbet, you must attend a real competence assessment (RKV) . Here it is assessed how long a program you need and when you can start on GF2.

You can be admitted to the program starting with Grundforløb 2 if you meet the following admission requirements

You must have passed both Danish and Mathematics to be admitted. Remember to attach documentation of your education with the highest passed levels.

If you do not have this, you can attend an admission test and a subsequent interview with an educational counselor.

The vocational education for social and health care helper has as its overall purpose that the student through classroom teaching and practical training gains knowledge and skills within

• professional care
• care and practical assistance in a rehabilitative perspective within the primary municipal area

A social and health care helper works among other things with the following tasks

• practical and personal help, care and support to citizens
• health promotion and disease prevention activities
• communication, documentation, guidance and instruction
• activity and rehabilitation in collaboration with the citizen and their relatives

There is the possibility to continue studying within the area to e.g. social and health care assistant.

The theoretical part of the education takes place at

Social and Health Care School South in Aabenraa.

The practical part of the education takes place in

• apprenticeship period takes place at a care center in Sønderborg Municipality
• apprenticeship period takes place in home care in Sønderborg Municipality

January 3, 2027.

The interviews are expected to be held week 1-2/2027 .

A criminal record check is obtained upon employment.
