We are looking for social and health care helper trainees to start the main course in week 12 2027.

We are looking for you who are motivated and engaged and have an interest in contributing to quality of life for our citizens in Aabenraa Municipality through health, mastery and community building.

The main course alternates between school and apprenticeship periods. School periods take place at the Social- and Health School in Aabenraa, and the apprenticeship periods take place in Aabenraa Municipality.

• 1st apprenticeship: Care home
• 2nd apprenticeship: Home care

You must have completed basic course 2 in the social- and health line.

• Social- and health care helper education lasts a total of one year and two months
• 37 hours per week
• Start 22 March 2027

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

You do not need to submit documentation for adult wage in advance. We will contact you in the employment process when we need it.

Application

To get started with the education, you must apply for admission to the main course via www.optagelse.dk , and you must enter into an apprenticeship agreement with Aabenraa Municipality. You apply for an apprenticeship by sending us your application with relevant attachments via the link.

Applications will be processed on an ongoing basis, and ongoing employment interviews will be conducted.

The application deadline is 1 December 2026

You will receive a final answer to your application no later than week 3/2027.

You must include documentation for

• certificate for basic course 2 in the social- and health line
• Danish and mathematics from 9th grade (equivalent to G level)
• real competence assessment if you are 25
• residence and work permit if you come from a country outside the EU/Schengen
