Stage manager / event coordinator for Kulturværftet and Toldkammeret

Do you have an overview, practical sense and a desire to help create great cultural experiences – both on and off stage?

Kulturværftet and Toldkammeret are seeking a show/production manager who can take responsibility for the practical execution of concerts, cultural events and happenings and at the same time engage broadly in the tasks related to production and operation of a modern cultural center.

We are looking for a colleague who thrives in a workday where tasks change. Some hours you are in the midst of a concert production with responsibility for ensuring that the audience, artists, technicians and volunteers experience a well-functioning execution. Other hours you work on preparing upcoming events, practical production tasks or developing our hospitality.

The position is designed as a combined role, where the working hours around the events are actively used for other relevant tasks in the house.

Your tasks

As show/production manager you will be part of the daily production at Kulturværftet and Toldkammeret. The tasks will include:

• show/production management and practical execution of concerts and events
• practical tasks in the production department before, during and after events
• focus on good hospitality and on how we can continuously improve the audience and guest experience at Kulturværftet and Toldkammeret
• contribute to coordination, planning and support of the house’s volunteers
• technical and production preparations in collaboration with the house’s other staff.

The position offers a varied workday, where tasks change with the different phases of productions. There will therefore be periods where the focus is on the actual execution, and others where time can naturally be used for preparation, coordination or practical tasks in the house.

We are looking for a person who thrives with this variation, and who can independently prioritize between execution, preparation and other production-related tasks.

We imagine that you

• have experience with the execution of concerts, cultural events, happenings or similar
• work independently and take responsibility for tasks being followed through
• have practical and preferably technical understanding and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves
• can collaborate with many different people – from artists and technicians to volunteers, audiences and colleagues
• have a sense of service and good hospitality
• have good digital skills and a desire to work data-driven with planning, systems and workflows
• can work on weekdays, evenings and weekends, as the main part of our culture program is carried out outside normal office hours

You do not necessarily need to be able to do everything from day one. The most important is that you understand event production, are practically oriented and want to develop and take responsibility across multiple areas of work.

About us

Kulturværftet and Toldkammeret are a modern cultural center and regional venue, centrally located in Kulturhavn Kronborg in Helsingør. Year-round the cultural center presents a broad and diverse cultural program including concerts, lectures, debates, film, theater, family events, workshops and exhibitions as well as meetings and conferences for business life. In addition, there are TV and film productions and larger profile-building events such as internationally oriented festivals and events.

In addition to the audience-focused and commercial program, Kulturværftet together with Toldkammeret provides a framework for communities, artistic learning environments and talent development within contemporary art and music.

At the European level, Kulturværftet has over the last 15 years collaborated on and produced culture projects within contemporary art and technology.

In 2025 Kulturværftet had 570,000 visitors and Toldkammeret 160,000 visitors. 103,000 participated in Kulturværftets cultural program, of which about 40,000 attended the year’s 245 concerts.

The position is 37 hours per week.

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for technical services between KL and FOA.

Start date: 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter
