About the job

Do you want to start a career as an auditor, where you work with both numbers and people? At RSM Denmark you learn the profession in practice, gradually take on responsibility and develop in a strong community. You get a structured training program and experienced colleagues who help you translate theory into practice and support you in your next steps as an auditor. We are seeking auditor trainees for our office in Copenhagen with start in September 2027.

With us you become part of a close-knit community at your local office and an organization with about 300 colleagues distributed across 17 offices. You learn from experienced colleagues in everyday work and meet other trainees through education and social activities across RSM.

Your daily life as an auditor trainee

As a trainee you work with auditing, accounting, tax and VAT – primarily for small and medium-sized enterprises. You gain insight into different industries and learn to understand both the numbers and the business behind them.

In the beginning you will learn our working methods and solve tasks with help from your colleagues and mentor. As you gain experience, you get more responsibility and become able to solve more complex tasks. You also gain experience with client contact and learn how your professional skills can create value for clients.

You should be ready to ask, try things and learn new things. In return you will have colleagues who share their knowledge and take the time to help you move forward.

A structured trainee program with support and direction

At RSM you combine practical experience with the trainee education through RevisorGruppen Danmark (RGD). The training program is tailored to your background and experience, so you get the best possible start to your career as an auditor.

If you come directly from high school, you follow a two-year trainee program spread across seven teaching modules of four days. If you already have a higher education, e.g. as financial economist or a bachelor, you can instead follow a one-year program with four modules.

As part of the trainee program you also go on a joint introductory trip to Southern Europe, where you meet other trainees, build relationships and have the opportunity to share experiences and create a strong network.

Teaching goes hand in hand with your tasks at RSM, so you can continuously translate your new knowledge into practice. At the same time you receive support from your personal mentor and professional sparring with your colleagues.

Your development does not stop at the trainee program

At RSM you have the opportunity to combine your work and trainee program with further education, e.g. HD Part 1, HD Part 2 or cand.merc.aud. We help you plan your education so you get a good balance between work, studies and professional development.

With our Career Compass and your personal development plan we set the direction for your career and your next steps at RSM.

You will receive a salary throughout the entire trainee program, and we also pay for your further education.

Together to succeed

It is one of our values – and something you should be able to feel in daily life. We share knowledge, help one another and spar across teams and offices.

The community also includes everything that happens between tasks. You can look forward to social activities with your colleagues and other trainees, such as department parties and joint company days.

We have an informal tone, flat organization and a focus on trust, openness and flexibility. As part of RSM Global we also have access to an international professional network.

Who are you?

You complete HHX, financial economist, HA general, financial controller or a similar education no later than summer 2027.

We value that you

  • Are curious about finance, auditing and the companies we work with.
  • Want to learn and gradually take more responsibility.
  • Approach tasks with care and ask when in doubt.
  • Want to collaborate with both clients and colleagues.
  • Will contribute to the professional and social community.

You do not need to have your entire career planned. We help you find direction as you get to know the profession.
