Stolpedalsskolen is seeking a dedicated and professionally grounded pedagogist in a permanent position with start date January 1, 2027. The position is 37 hours per week.

About Stolpedalsskolen and our leisure-time offer

Stolpedalsskolen lies on top of Hasseris in scenic surroundings with Aalborg Zoo and Mølleparken as the nearest neighbors.

With more than 85 years of history, we are a large and well-established school with approximately 700 pupils, about 100 skilled and engaged employees, and an active group of parents who actively support the school’s work.

Our leisure-time offering consists of two departments: Fridusen, which has about 190 children from grades 0–2, and DUS 2 in the Basement, which has about 180 children from grades 3–6.

In our leisure-time offering, children with different prerequisites are a natural part of the community. Our Børn i Fokus class (Children in Focus) is an integrated part of the leisure-time offering and have their daily activities in the same premises as the children in general DUS, and we work purposefully to create participation opportunities and meaningful communities for all children.

The position

The position combines daily pedagogical work with a special function that supports organization, coherence, structure, and quality in DUS 2.

In addition to being an active part of the children's daily lives, you will have a special role in coordinating activities, supporting practical organization, and contributing to the development of our leisure-time offering.

We are therefore looking for a pedagogue who both has strong pedagogical competences and enjoys taking initiative, creating an overview, and contributing to ensuring that the many daily tasks hang together. You will become an important partner for the coordinator and the rest of the pedagogical staff in working to create a well-functioning everyday life and maintain the pedagogical quality in DUS 2.

The special function will include, among other things

• Creating an overview of the daily staffing in DUS 2 and informing the coordinator about needs, for example substitute coverage.
• Coordinating activities and supporting the practical organization of everyday life.
• Contributing to planning and development of pedagogical practice in cooperation with the coordinator and the DUS joint leader.
• Contributing to structure, overview, and coherence in the daily operation of DUS 2.

We expect you to be able to switch between the various tasks and keep an eye on both the children’s needs and the overall daily life in DUS 2.

• Is a trained pedagogue and professionally grounded in leisure-time pedagogy.
• Is present and clear in your contact with the children and works consciously with relationships, well-being, and participation in communities.
• Has a resource-oriented approach to children and is curious about what lies behind their actions and behavior.
• Take initiative and actively contribute to developing the quality of DUS 2's activities and pedagogical offerings.
• Work in a structured way and can create overview, prioritize tasks, and act relevantly in a changing everyday life.
• Has good collaboration skills and can engage constructively in dialogue with the coordinator, the DUS joint leader, and the pedagogical staff.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
• Are solution-oriented, see opportunities, and contribute ideas for how we together can create a good everyday life for children and adults.
• You actively contribute to a strong collegial community where we support each other and together create the best framework for the children.
