About the job

Strandbakkehuset receives children and young people aged 0-18+ years from all over Denmark. We have 4 family units, where the whole family is admitted for specialized palliative treatment and care. The length of stay can vary from weeks to months.

The admission at Strandbakkehuset should empower the individual family to cope with daily life with a life-threatening and/or life-limited sick child/adolescent. The palliative care efforts will be targeted at both the sick child and the parents and siblings.

We are looking for a nurse who

  • Can contribute to high professionalism and expertise, as well as the ability to translate theory into practice – also in emotionally pressured situations
  • Is good at maintaining an overview and handling unforeseen situations
  • Is listening and reflective, as well as creative and flexible in daily task solving

Not least, we emphasize that you as a person rest in yourself, have good collaboration skills, can prioritize, and are able to create good collaborative relationships across the organization

  • Abilities for non-judgmental and appreciative communication and documentation

We offer

  • To become part of an interdisciplinary group with dedicated colleagues; nurses, educator, physiotherapist, doctor, music therapist, psychologist, social worker, priest.

  • Supervision
  • Professional development within the specialized palliative field
