Student assistant for Mycosealium.

At the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, section of Medical Biotechnology, there is one vacant position as student assistant from 01.10.2026. The position is fixed-term until February 28, 2027.

Duties

The duties include assisting in the production of mushroom mycelium related products. In addition, you should be able to assist in the laboratories with various projects and lab visits. A significant part of the work will be related to projects with fungi, and knowledge of mushroom biology is therefore a central qualification for the position.

The position also includes practical and craft tasks. We are therefore looking for a person who is handy and who can document relevant craft or technical qualifications. Experience with welding or other practical or technical tasks would be an advantage.

The working time is on average 6 hours per week.

Qualifications

You must be a student at Aalborg University, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience.

We expect that you

• have good knowledge of fungal biology
• have experience with or interest in practical laboratory work with fungi
• can move safely and responsibly in a laboratory
• are practically minded and have good craft skills
• can document relevant craft or technical qualifications
• preferably have experience with welding or similar practical tasks
• are an orderly person
• can work independently and responsibly
• are flexible and prepared for different types of practical tasks.

It would be advantageous if the application describes your experience with fungal biology, laboratory work and relevant craft or technical skills.
