Student job as a study information officer at Electrical Energy Technology in Herning

If you are studying Electrical Power Engineering in Herning and would like to give high school students an insight into everyday life as a student, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for good study communicators who can take on various outreach tasks aimed at high schools and potential students in general. You will become part of a shared Visiting Service for the engineering programs. Your tasks will primarily be activities aimed at high school visits to your own program, but there will also be tasks across the engineering institutes (U-days, Open House, Study Practice, etc.). The work is paid by the hour, and the working hours are very varied. If you already have a student job, the position can often be combined with it.

The duties include, among others

• To be a tour guide and host during high school visits and similar
• To hold academic workshops for visiting high school classes and help develop the content
• To give presentations about your education (in person and online)
• To talk about your education at open house events
• One-on-one matching with high school students who want to try being a student for a day

And quite a lot more. We are actively developing the area, and your input is also welcome.

• That you are an engineering student at the Faculty of Technical Science (Aarhus)
• That you have a desire to communicate
• That you are responsible, friendly and approachable

Working hours and location

You will be contacted about tasks on an ongoing basis. As a rule, there are no tasks in July, early August or December. The working hours per month will vary, and there may be months with 0 hours, i.e., anything from 0 to 10 hours per month may occur. The workplace is generally at your education site.

Formalities

Employment is governed by the collective agreement for student instructors at universities, etc., entered into between the Ministry of Taxation and the National Association of Student Employees and the Danish Association of Medical Students.

You must be an active student and document that you are enrolled at a higher education institution.
