Student job: Business Finance Analyst

Who is Cand?

Cand creates development opportunities in the interaction between students and companies. We hire students from many different educations, and it is for both bachelor and master's students. The internship

In this internship you will help our partner use data, mathematical models and AI to create a better basis for decisions and more precise forecasts. You will work at the intersection of data analysis, finance and business, where an important part of the role is to identify patterns and develop solutions that can predict what will happen – rather than first analyzing it when it has already happened.

You will, among other things, have the opportunity to work with machine learning, mathematical models, AI agents and automations. The goal is to build small “engines” that can help the company forecast revenue, payments and other financial developments, so one can respond earlier to deviations and trends.

An important part of the job is also to connect the numbers to the real business. It is not just about finding a deviation, but about understanding what it means. If one customer is missing payment of an order worth DKK 15 million, that is naturally different from 20 smaller payments being delayed. You should therefore both be able to work deeply with data and at the same time want to understand what the numbers mean for the business.

Examples of tasks

• Work with data analysis, forecast analysis and scenario analyses
• Develop mathematical models and work with machine learning
• Identify patterns, trends and deviations in data
• Build forecasts for example revenue, payments and financial developments
• Develop automated controlling and analysis tools
• Work with AI and development of AI agents
• Analyze when payments or other events with probability are not likely to occur as expected
• Work with Excel, data and financial follow-up
• Investigate causes of developments in, for example, margins and customer data
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of existing processes
• Contribute to building solutions that make analyses and controlling more proactive

The company

The company is located in Søften, which you can easily reach by bus. It is characterized by a direct and informal working environment, where high ambitions are combined with short decision paths. You become part of a culture where things are implemented, and where your contribution is felt in daily life. Collaboration takes place closely across departments, and there is ongoing dialogue with both middle managers and management. The company is seeking 3 students from Cand and already one on board.
