UCN Hjørring and Hjørring Municipality collaborate to offer relevant student jobs to all interested nursing students in all semesters throughout the education. In a student job you get the opportunity to acquire relevant clinical practical experience, with basic health and nursing tasks, which you can continue to develop theoretically and practically in your studies. With a student job in Hjørring Municipality, you are guaranteed extra income throughout your education.

Prerequisites for guarantee of a study job?

Hjørring Municipality guarantees you as a nursing student at UCN Hjørring a relevant study job, already from the 1st semester.

It is not necessary that you have experience from the health and nursing field when you apply for a study job. When you start in the study job, the department head ensures that you receive an individual introduction and training. In the introduction period the department head conducts an onboarding conversation with you, where among other things your experience and competences are assessed in relation to working at Home Nursing Care.

If you are interested in a study job, Hjørring Municipality expects that you as a nursing student are accommodating, cooperative and reliable in attendance.

What is offered?

There is the possibility of an agreement for a study job, in day, evening and night shifts primarily on weekends, holidays and in vacation periods, taking into account your educational path. The number of hours is agreed individually, based on what fits best for you and your studies.

In the study job you will continuously have the opportunity to acquire and develop professional competences. During semesters 1-3 you work, for example, with basic health and nursing tasks such as personal care, medication delivery etc. After semester 4 you work with competencies corresponding to the holistic care of the social and health care assistant and clinical nursing tasks, though without the authorization responsibility.

Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
