About the job

Studentermedarbejdere med viden om EU søges til Folketingets EU-Oplysning

The Parliament is seeking two student assistants with a strong interest in work in the EU’s institutions, the Parliament’s work with EU affairs, and the implementation of EU law in Denmark.

In the Parliament's EU Information Service, we bring the EU close to Danes.

We explain what the EU means, and why it is so important to follow along and form an opinion. We explain how the EU and the Parliament are connected, and how EU legislation becomes Danish practice. And we do it at eye level – and in a way that opens eyes.

This is where you come in! If you are a bit of an EU nerd like us, this position can give you the opportunity to try your hand at different tasks, so you can surely become one of Denmark's sharpest EU minds.

Your primary tasks

You will work in the Parliament's EU Information Service, but will also handle tasks for the Parliament's EU consultants. Both are part of the International Secretariat in the Parliament's Administration.

In the EU Information Service's help desk you will provide neutral, balanced and factual information about large and small questions about the EU and Denmark's relation to the EU to, e.g., citizens, researchers, master's students, journalists, school pupils, interest organizations, party affiliates and members of the Parliament. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with EU law, and you will dig into directives and regulations from the EU.

You will become an expert at searching databases such as the EU Court's site Curia, the EU's EUR-Lex site with EU legislation and Retsinformation regarding the implementation of EU law in Denmark. And you will become sharp on how the Parliament's role in the EU's decision-making procedure works in practice.

In addition there will be research tasks and opportunities to, among other things, give presentations about the EU to high school students. You will also be responsible for updating and writing short articles for eu.dk.

Your profile

  • You are currently pursuing a relevant university education such as law, political science or history.
  • You have a really good understanding of the EU’s structure, institutions and procedures (at university level) and a strong interest in the area.
  • You have experience working more practically with EU topics, e.g., through your studies, a student job or internship.
  • You have a burning desire to work with public information/outreach.
  • You want to be part of an exciting professional environment at Christiansborg that is not party-political.
  • You are comfortable giving presentations to smaller groups.
  • You have good analytical abilities.
  • You have good abilities to express yourself clearly both in writing and orally in Danish. Also under time pressure.
  • You have good English skills. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage (primarily French, German).
  • You are cooperative and ready to take on new tasks, large and small.

Your workplace

Your physical workplace will be the Provianthuset, Christiansborg. You will become part of life at Christiansborg and gain a unique insight into Danish European policy. We can offer fun and diverse tasks in a team consisting of seven full-time employees and a strong group of like-minded student assistants.

We place a high value on your personal development and well-being.

Salary and terms of employment

The appointment takes place under the collective agreement and the corresponding organizational agreement for office staff (HK State).

The working hours are on average 15 hours per week, distributed over two full weekly working days (9:00-16:30). In the summer months (June, July, August) the average working time is 8 hours per week.

Commencement is expected on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Note! Employment requires the applicant to be able to present a 'suitable' criminal record certificate.

Information and application

You can obtain more information about the position from the team coordinator for EU Information, Kirstine Chege, tel. 6162 5797.

Application deadline: 11 November 2026, 12:00

We expect to hold interview rounds on 24 and 25 November. It takes place in person at Christiansborg. It is possible to conduct the interview as a virtual meeting if you are on internship abroad, for example.

Prior to the interview you will be asked to solve a small task (a case), which will be sent to you to answer at home within a given time frame. We can typically offer you a couple of different times to complete this task, but answering the task is a prerequisite to being invited to the interview.

Application deadline: 11 November 2026

Department: Parliament, Christiansborg 1218 Copenhagen K
