Student Assistant for Laboratory Work and Marine Analysis

We are seeking a student assistant to assist with analyses of marine samples for the national monitoring program NOVANA.

What you will be part of

The Agency for Green Area Planning and Water Environment's internal laboratory, which is administratively part of the Zealand Unit, but located on the outskirts of Odense.

The laboratory counts eight laboratory technicians and a quality officer, and we are thus a small team where constructive communication, collaboration and good humor are important. We solve our tasks efficiently while also focusing on the agency's goals and strategies. As the laboratory for the overall marine monitoring, we have a large network and broad insight into the agency's collaboration between the units.

As we are an accredited testing laboratory, you will also become familiar with what it is like to work according to DS/EN ISO/IEC 17025.

The tasks are varied and include, among other things

• Preparation of reagents
• Cleanup and washing after analyses
• Printing of labels
• Receiving goods, including chemicals
• Various driving tasks, including to and from the warehouse (vehicle provided)

We are looking for a student assistant who

• Has a driver's license (B category)
• Has knowledge of laboratory work
• Is responsible, structured and has an eye for detail
• Can work independently and take initiative
• Is flexible and can handle different tasks

We expect that you are studying biology or another relevant natural science program.

Employment terms

You will be employed as a hourly-paid student assistant under the Joint Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and OAO (The Government Sector) and the associated collective agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT staff (HK).

Your workplace will be the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare with related institutions, and the service location is the Agency for Green Land Use and Water Environment, Unsbjergvej 2C, 5220 Odense SØ.

Working hours are on average 15 hours per week. Fixed meeting days are agreed, but the work is arranged flexibly in relation to your teaching and exam periods.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
