Apply for the position

Do you want to combine student contact with exam administration and development?

We are looking for an initiative-minded colleague for Examinations in Arts Studies, who wants to work closely with students and help develop the way we handle our study administration tasks. We are an organization in development, and it means that tasks, workflows, and collaborations evolve continuously. It is part of our daily life, and we need colleagues who want to be involved as we find new and better ways to solve our tasks.

You will have a varied daily routine, where you are both part of the daily support of students at Studiecenter Arts and work with operating and improving the administration that underpins it. This can include communication to students, workflows and procedures, or concrete tasks within exam administration.

Who are we?

Arts Studies is the faculty's study administration. Our core task is to support good study progress through planning, guidance, case processing, study regulation work and quality assurance.

We contribute to making professional and managerial decisions in the education area a reality. With us you meet colleagues with different disciplines, perspectives and experiences, and we emphasize collaboration, sharing knowledge and finding good solutions together.

The available position is in Examinations, which among other things has the responsibility to plan and coordinate examinations and ensure that examination processes run safely and coherently. Examinations also runs Studiecenter Arts, which is the faculty's central service point for students on issues such as examinations, rules, processes and general study administrative matters.

Your upcoming tasks

An important part of your everyday life will be direct contact with the students in Studiecenter Arts. You will meet students with many different questions, and it requires that you have broad study administrative knowledge, are curious about rules and practices, and can seek out the knowledge you do not already have. You must be able to find the right answer or help the student on to the right person.

You will also have a role in contributing to the development of Studiecenter Arts. This can, for example, involve spotting recurring questions and challenges and using your knowledge from daily contact with students to point out where we can improve our communication, service and workflows through analytical work.

You will, among other things, come to work with

  • Direct contact with students in Studiecenter Arts by email, phone and in person
  • Staying professionally up-to-date and seeking the necessary knowledge so you can provide students with qualified help and guidance
  • Identifying questions and challenges that recur among students, and bringing that knowledge into improving our communication and service
  • Analyzing and optimizing processes, workflows and case handling, especially based on data material
  • Contributing to written decision proposals when we need to decide on changes in practice or workflows
  • Preparing and updating procedure descriptions so it is clear how tasks should be solved
  • Concrete tasks within exam administration, including planning, coordination and managing the exam flow
  • Collaboration with colleagues in Examinations and across Arts Studies.

You will be thoroughly introduced to the different tasks and systems. We do not expect you to know it all from day one. Instead, we hope you are curious, take responsibility and want to learn new areas.

Is it you we are looking for?

We imagine that you

  • have a long higher education degree and thrive with understanding complex rules and issues, analyzing data and translating your knowledge into concrete solutions.
  • greet students in a friendly and professional manner and can listen to understand what their questions are about, and help them forward on a solid professional basis.
  • have strong professional expertise and are curious about rules, practices and new areas, so you can help students qualifiedly, but also seek out, analyze and translate knowledge into concrete answers and solutions.
  • communicate clearly and can convey complex rules and issues in a way that is understandable in both Danish and English.
  • have a sense for patterns and opportunities for improvement and can use data and experiences from daily operation to develop communication, processes and workflows
  • work in a structured and thorough manner, take initiative and naturally collaborate with colleagues to find good solutions.

It is an advantage if you have experience with study administration, communication or process work. The most important is that you enjoy daily contact with students and want to use your professional knowledge to develop how we solve our tasks.

In other words, you should like both operation and development – from finding the right answer for a student to spotting when a workflow or procedure can be improved.
