We are looking for a substitute for our boarding school at NEG Audebo

Do you want to be part of a boarding school where community, safety, presence and good relations with the young people are an important part of everyday life?

We are looking for a substitute as a boarding school assistant for our boarding school at NEG Audebo. The position is without fixed hours, and you will be offered shifts as needed, for example in case of illness, holidays and other periods where we need extra hands.

About the job

As a boarding school assistant you help to create safe and good conditions for the students who live at our boarding school while they complete their education with us.

The work largely revolves around being visible, present and accessible to the young people. You should want to meet them at eye level, help create a sense of community and at the same time be able to set clear and proper boundaries when needed.

Your tasks may include, among others,

• being present and creating security for the students at the boarding school
• supporting the sense of community and the social environment
• talking to and supporting students when they need an adult
• initiating or participating in social activities
• helping with practical tasks related to everyday life at the boarding school
• cooperation with colleagues at the boarding school and the rest of the school
• helping to ensure that our shared rules and agreements are observed.

• can maintain an overview, even when something unexpected arises

Experience with young people, boarding school, after-school care, a boarding school, pedagogical work or similar is of course an advantage, but not necessarily a requirement.

Working hours

There is a substitute position without fixed hours , where shifts are offered and agreed upon as needed.

Shifts are mainly from 16:00 to next morning 07:00, and can fall on all days of the week. Shifts can also be shorter and at another time, depending on the task at the boarding school. It is therefore important that you have the possibility and willingness to take shifts both on weekdays and weekends.
