About the job
Make a difference for children and families – become a health visitor in Silkeborg in a permanent position.
Do you want to use your professional expertise where it makes a concrete difference – close to children, youths and families?
In the Health Visiting Service in Silkeborg Municipality we are seeking health visitors for two permanent positions of 34-37 hours per week, as we are both expanding and one of our skilled health visitors has pursued new paths.
With us you will be part of a strong collegial community with high professionalism, systematic sparring and willingness to develop the initiatives – from early detection and connection to prevention and health promotion across areas.
About us
The Health Visiting Service in Silkeborg consists of 28 dedicated health visitors, two team leaders, administrative staff and a lead health visitor. We are a well-functioning group with strong team spirit, where we value diversity and work from an open and trusting dialogue culture.
We are anchored in the Children and Family Department, where we collaborate closely with the family and child disability area as well as daycare centers. In our work we focus on early detection and intervention, health promotion and prevention, and we have a close multidisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration, which we continuously develop – e.g. in collaboration with PPL, Dental Care and Family and Youth Contact. We work from a shared professional stance and Silkeborg Municipality’s coherent Children and Youth Policy (0–18 years), where we together create a good childhood and adolescence.
Your role and opportunities
You will become part of a developing workplace where your competencies are actively used. In 2026/27 we will, among other things, work with leveling and differentiation of our services based on the new national guidance. In addition, we have launched a clinic offer as a new initiative in the Health Visiting Service. We focus on methods such as ADBB and Understand Your Baby, and to support our high professionalism we have this year a focus on joint competency uplift for all health visitors around early attachment.
We are organized into four teams with 6-7 health visitors in each team, who work in a committed collaboration and work community on the tasks of the individual teams, particularly and across the entire group. Knowledge sharing and sparring are a natural part of the work, and we prioritize frameworks for a professionally strong and safe environment. We are a health visiting service with skilled and dedicated staff who are passionate about the core task and about making a difference for children and families.
