About the job
Cultural Consultant for Brønderslev Municipality
Become the driving force for culture, communities and local experiences in Brønderslev Municipality
In Brønderslev Municipality we believe that culture makes a difference. Culture creates communities, quality of life, pride and experiences that connect people.
We have strong local communities, engaged associations, volunteer enthusiasts, artists and cultural actors who every day help to bring life to the whole municipality. Now we are looking for a cultural consultant who can help pull the forces together and translate good ideas into concrete activities and experiences for the citizens.
We are looking for you who can build relationships, bridge gaps between people and organizations and make things happen. We succeed when new cultural offerings arise, new collaborations form and more experiences are available for children, young people, adults and seniors across the municipality.
You will help develop the cultural life in Brønderslev Municipality together with the many actors who already make a difference.
You will spot opportunities, bring people together, help good ideas on their way and support projects that create local value. In short, you will help create more culture close to the citizens.
Your tasks will include
- develop and initiate new cultural projects and activities together with cultural actors, associations, institutions, volunteers and local communities
- support initiatives that give more citizens access to cultural experiences
- contribute to cultural offerings for children, young people, adults and seniors
- assist cultural actors with project development, networks and fundraising
- administer cultural funds and subsidies
- work with the regional cultural collaboration KulturKanten
- act as secretary for Brønderslev Municipality's Art Fund
- collaborate with the actors on the development of the culture houses that are on the way in the municipality
- contribute to realising the municipality's cultural policy ambitions
- represent the municipality in relevant networks and collaborations
Who are you?
You are passionate about the importance of culture for people and local communities, and you are motivated by delivering results through collaboration. Concrete examples of having succeeded at this are an advantage.
You may come from the culture sector, associations, a municipality or something entirely different. The most important is that you are proactive, relationship-driven and good at turning ideas into action.
You thrive being out among people and know that the best solutions are created together with those who are already engaged locally. It can be an advantage if you are familiar with Brønderslev Municipality as an organization or with the actor landscape in the cultural sector.
Your educational background can be many things. It is important that you can bring people together around a common idea, create momentum and help translate ambitions into concrete cultural offerings and experiences across the municipality. This can be supported by many different educations. You will most likely have a bachelor’s degree or longer.
You will become part of a strong team
You will become part of the Leisure, Culture and Tourism area in Brønderslev Municipality.
We are a small team of capable and engaged colleagues who work with the leisure, culture and tourism area in a broad sense. We have an informal tone, high professional standards and help each other across areas. The team is based in a shared office with the possibility of home office one day a week.
We have a strong collaboration with the Climate, Technical and Cultural Administration Secretariat, which takes on many of the formal tasks such as case presentations with input from the professional staff.
With us you get freedom, responsibility and the opportunity to make a visible imprint on the development of culture across the municipality.
We offer
- a job with a great opportunity to make a concrete difference
- influence on the development of the municipality's cultural life
- a strong professional community
- a varied workday with many collaboration surfaces
- opportunity for both strategic and practical work
- flexibility and freedom under responsibility
- good colleagues who enjoy working together
