Supply Planner for the Railway Projects of the Future

At Banedanmark we are currently implementing a number of historically large railway projects, so hundreds of thousands of passengers and goods can reach their destinations safely every day. For contractors to perform their work effectively on construction sites, the right materials and client deliveries must be ready at exactly the right time.

As our new Supply Planner you will become a central piece in the Purchasing and Supply Planning section. In the team we continuously work on our processes and workflows, giving you ample opportunity to make your mark on them.

Your role and everyday life

As a Supply Planner you are the link between procurement, design, construction management and suppliers. You take ownership of the supply chain for one or more large railway projects from start to finish.

The everyday is varied, and you will alternate between strategic planning from our modern office in central Copenhagen and on-site follow-up directly at the construction sites.

Your primary tasks include, among others

• Quality assurance & Planning: You ensure an overview of client deliveries and develop realistic time and ordering plans in close dialogue with design managers and purchasers
• On-site follow-up: You track materials all the way to on-site and ensure timely delivery to the construction sites.
• Single Point of Contact: You function as the project’s primary entry point for material coordination across the organization
• Change management: You handle timely and effective changes in deliveries, design or requests from project managers and contractors and step in with urgent help when projects require it.
• Process optimization: You contribute to further developing our standards, quality assurance and checklists.

Who are you?

There can be many pathways into the job – for example as a logistics economist or with another relevant tertiary education. You have knowledge of Supply Chain Management or other relevant experience with planning and logistics.

The most important is that you work structurally, have a solid sense of logistics and are good at coordinating and creating an overview.

You thrive in a role with collaboration across different disciplines. It is therefore also important that you communicate clearly, openly and constructively and follow up on deadlines and quality.

At the same time you are motivated to dive into the details when the task requires it. You can therefore both maintain an overview and go into the detail to ensure that things fit together and are followed through.

Familiarity with the railway sector, SAP and MS Excel is an advantage but not a requirement.

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed under the current Central Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Civil Service Area (OAO-S collective agreement) and the organizational agreement for office staff, laboratory technicians and IT employees.

The position is basically placed between salary group 3.3 Capital Region in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employee and Competency Agency's salary overview, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competences there is a possibility of negotiating an allowance. The total salary will include an employer-funded pension scheme of 16 %.
