About the job

Are you looking for a gap year job and planning to apply for admission to a higher education program soon? We are currently looking for three supporters who can join the support team for applicants to higher education at KOT, where more than 80,000 applicants apply to higher education every year.

About the position

The Danish Agency for Education and Knowledge supports has over the past two years modernized the application portal for higher education. In this context, we are in the process of establishing a support function that can take calls from applicants for higher education and answer questions about their application and the rules in the admissions area or refer them to relevant actors.

The positions are temporary, and the employment period is 1 January 2027 – 31 July 2027. Your working hours are 37 hours per week including lunch break. The first month you will be trained in the application portal and the admission rules before we open for applications and support on 1 February.

The support need is especially large up to the two application deadlines 15 March and 5 July, and in the week leading up to the two deadlines there will be evening and weekend shifts. In between deadlines you will, in addition to support tasks, also take part in other tasks at the admissions office, which are tailored to your competences.

Your main tasks consist of

  • Telephone service to applicants
  • Create cases for response to colleagues at the agency
  • Participate in the work to support the development of the support, for example frequently asked questions, reducing wait times or similar.

About you

We expect that you have finished your high school education and intend to apply for admission to higher education in 2027 or 2028 yourself.

We expect that you

  • Are good at articulating yourself and communicating with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Are sociable and enjoy helping others
  • Can stay calm even in somewhat stressful situations with many calls
  • Are orderly and good at structuring your work day
  • Have a positive attitude to and preferably experience with telephone handling

The office

As a supporter you become part of Admissions, which is a unit that works with coordinating admissions to higher education at universities, university colleges and business academies as well as artistic and maritime educational institutions. Specifically, you will need to join a small support team of three, who handle inquiries from applicants supervised by a support coordinator.

Admissions is part of the IT, Operations and Projects department, where we are 70 skilled and engaged employees who work with operation and development and support of IT systems.

Do you want to help shape the future?

Knowledge shapes the future. In the Danish Agency for Education and Knowledge, we work to create value for society through excellent education and research. With us you will be part of a culture with high professionalism and a strong collaborative culture. We put students, researchers and citizens at the center of our work and are ambitious on our own and the education and research sector's behalf.

Salary and employment terms

You are employed as an administrative assistant in salary grade 1 in the Ministry of Finance’s group under the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK.
