Svendborg Municipality is seeking students for employment on the main program in the Social and Health Care Helper education/SSH starting in February 2027

The education takes place in collaboration with SOSU-Fyn. School periods take place at SOSU-Fyn’s School in Svendborg or Odense. Most students we hire wish to study at the school in Svendborg.

The social and health care assistant education

You become an important professional in the daily life of the elderly. You learn to interpret and respond to their needs and actively use your personal qualities as a social and health care assistant trainee.

As a social and health care assistant trainee you receive a practical and theoretical education. You learn to provide professional care, nursing and practical help in a rehabilitative perspective with support of the citizen’s quality of life.

In Svendborg municipality, work is based on the concept of person-centred care in the citizen’s journeys.

We place emphasis on you having the desire to develop your abilities in communication, motivation and collaboration.

At each practicum site you are assigned an Training Supervisor, who together with you is responsible for your training. The training supervisor supports you, follows up and provides feedback based on everyday nursing tasks, in accordance with the goals for your training period. You have weekly study hours and guidance with feedback / reflection in relation to your practical learning.

You must be ready to join work communities with a desire for learning and development professionally and personally. In addition, an interest in working with new welfare technologies, across disciplines and with the citizen as the most important and closest partner is expected.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement

Regular trainee salary

SSH 14,325.21 DKK

Adult trainee salary; 25,121.92 DKK/month

Adult apprentice salary; 25,121.92 DKK /month

You receive pay during the entire education, both when you are in training and during school periods
