We are seeking a social- and health care assistant or nurse for our psychiatric outpatient department who will help strengthen the effort. The goal is to reach even more of the citizens who have the greatest need for psychiatric support.

At the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic Glostrup we are looking for you who want to unfold your nursing skills for both our general psychiatric patients and especially with a targeted effort for our patients with dual diagnosis.

A little about the outpatient specialty

In our clinic you work with patients with severe mental illness in their own local environment – when it makes sense – and in the outpatient clinic when it is appropriate. Here you will work systematically and targeted to reduce hospitalizations, increase stability, and strengthen the patient’s coping. F-ACT means that we adapt the intensity according to the patient’s current needs. We follow the patient – also when life becomes unstable.

What is F-ACT?

F-ACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) offers a treatment that is tailored to the individual patient and of varying intensity. The team follows the patient and thus offers both treatment in the outpatient clinic and an outreach, persistent treatment in the patient’s surroundings depending on the patient’s needs.

Your everyday life with us

You become a fixed point of contact for your own group of patients, and you also participate in the joint treatment of the patients who receive more intensive, outreach treatment.

The work as a contact person also includes

• Participation in treatment conferences
• Conducting initial assessments of newly referred patients and drafting treatment plans
• Collaboration with relatives
• Individual and group psychoeducation
• Teaching and guidance of nursing students
• Documentation and registration as well as ordering of various tests in SP
• Special function as a substance abuse therapist across the three F-ACT teams in the outpatient clinic.

• Have experience from F-ACT ambulant psychiatry

Your salary and terms of employment

Start date 1 December or after agreement.

Depending on education, employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement for:

• non-supervisory staff in the Health Cartel area with salary level as nurse.
• Social- and health personnel employed between RLTN and FOA with salary level as social- and health assistant.

You will be employed as a nurse or social- and health care assistant in the Capital Region of Denmark with service currently at the Psychiatric Center Glostrup, Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic.

The outpatient clinic is open during daytime hours Monday to Friday. Your working hours will therefore mainly lie within this period. You are employed in mixed shifts with mainly day shifts.

As a new nurse or social- and health care assistant you will also be attached to a specific 24-hour ward, where you participate in on-call work on Saturdays and Sundays every 6 weeks. We will of course ensure you are well prepared for the task. This happens in the form of an individual introduction program, knowledge sharing and sparring with colleagues. And it happens in the form of ongoing competence development based on your experiences and needs.
