About the job

Would you be professionally challenged every day – in a department where a good working environment and high professionalism are mutual prerequisites?

You become part of a staff group where the mood is always high, where we help each other and prioritize time for professional sparring and development. You are never alone, and we have already laid plans for your start with us. We look forward to welcoming you.

We offer an exciting, content-rich and challenging everyday life, where you have the opportunity to develop your nursing competencies. We are a department that spans from the intensive patient over the intermediate patient, medical observation patient to the post-anesthesia recovery patient. With us there are always specially trained and experienced nurses at work, and you learn something new every day. In our medical observation patients it is 1 nurse to 2 patients plus a post-anesthesia patient; for the intensive patients care is 1:1, and for our intermediate patients it is 1 nurse to 2 patients.

Your tasks as a nurse

We know that many request examples of the daily tasks, so here are a few. As a nurse with us you go on rounds, handle infusion medication, observe and monitor acutely ill patients – including TOKS and initiation of treatment, take care of nursing for a broad patient population, have close professional collaboration with physiotherapist, occupational therapist, specialist departments, BDA, municipality, relatives, addiction centers, Respirationscenter West and the rehabilitation ward. In short, you quickly build a broad nursing knowledge.

With us you get

  • A thorough and targeted onboarding to the department’s specialties with theoretical instruction. During the onboarding period you work shifts without being part of the staffing norm.
  • Work in an exciting department with a changing daily life, filled with challenges for everyone regardless of experience.
  • Different patient categories – medical observation patients, intermediate-, intensive- and post-anesthesia patients.
  • Dedicated, proactive and happy colleagues who value social cohesion highly – also in their leisure time.
  • Colleagues with broad professional experience – which we are happy to share.
  • Flexible working time planning, where you have the opportunity to influence.
  • Skilled and helpful colleagues very close by, you are never alone.

We place great emphasis on

  • Continuous development of your competences.
  • A good and trust-based collaboration with patient and relatives during the hospitalization period.
  • Ensuring the good patient journey, both during and after hospitalization.

We assume that you

  • Are a trained nurse and have Danish authorization.
  • Are flexible and can act independently in a changing daily life.
  • Have the desire to contribute to a fun and good collegial community. We greatly enjoy each other in our spare time.
  • Will contribute to the continued development of nursing in our department.

About the Intensive and Medical Ward

The department is a high-tech unit with 8 around-the-clock beds distributed across 3 intensive beds, 2 intermediate beds, 2 medical observation beds and 1 post-anesthesia patient on evenings/nights/weekends and holidays. The complexity of nursing varies depending on the patient’s condition, as does the length of stay.

We are a training site for nursing students and social and health care assistant students. There are clinical supervisors and practice supervisors to handle these tasks with help from the rest of the staff.
