About the job

Do you want to be part of a school where we lift the task together?

At Vedbæk School we are ambitious on behalf of all students. We believe that children succeed when adults succeed together. Therefore we work with shared responsibility, strong professional communities and high expectations for both students and staff.

Our goal is to create participation opportunities for all children through high-quality teaching, close collaboration and a curious approach to one's own practice. We develop ourselves together, help each other and take responsibility for the whole year group, not only our own class. We are now seeking a teacher for Section 1 and a teacher for Section 2. Both positions offer the opportunity to influence the upcoming subject distribution.

Who are we?

Vedbæk School has about 500 students and is uniquely located between forest and beach, only 20 minutes from Østerport. We are a school with high ambitions for students' learning and well-being. We are characterized by a strong culture of collaboration, where we use each other's competencies and develop the teaching together.

Vedbæk School is engaged in a unique collaboration with Vedbæk Foundations and the upcoming museum. The ambition is to create new authentic learning environments where school, research and dissemination meet for the benefit of learning.

Section 1 (1st-5th grade)

We are seeking a teacher with a broad subject profile. In the first period a large part of the task will consist of co-teaching and close collaboration with colleagues to create learning environments where all students can participate and develop.

We imagine that you

  • Are a qualified teacher with a major in Danish or Mathematics
  • Believe in the value of close collaboration
  • Are focused on students' learning, well-being and participation
  • Are curious about co-teaching and inclusive learning environments
  • Want to develop practice together with others

Section 2 (6th-9th grade)

We are particularly seeking a teacher with Mathematics as a major. If you have German or French, that would be an advantage. In addition you will among other things work with:

  • Mathematics teaching at middle- or upper-level
  • Small groups and academic boost programs
  • Support for students with special needs in mathematics
  • Co-teaching and close collaboration with colleagues

Vedbæk School offers

Strong professional communities. Close collaboration on students' development. High professional level and great helpfulness. Visible and approachable leadership. Mentoring scheme for both newly trained and newly employed staff.
