Loss adjuster at Thisted Insurance

As a loss adjuster you will be an important part of our team, where you work with the assessment and valuation of building damages for private customers, commercial customers, agricultural customers and defunct farms. In addition, you will conduct risk assessments in connection with underwriting of new insurances.

You will have an independent daily life with great freedom to plan your tasks, while being part of a strong team with a focus on sparring, knowledge sharing and professional development.

Your primary tasks

• Determination of extent and assessment of building damages, including
• Assessment of proposals for repairing damages.
• Negotiation and determination of settlements.
• Guidance on preventive measures to reduce damage.
• Handling of rejections for non-covered damages.
• Risk assessment of new building insurances and feedback to our sales force.

We imagine that you

• Have a construction-technical background such as construction technician, building designer, construction manager or craftsman with experience in calculation, bidding or pricing.
• Have broad construction-related knowledge and an interest in construction-related issues.
• Have knowledge of insurance and the insurance industry or motivation to educate yourself in the area.
• Are good at building relationships and communicating with both customers, colleagues and partners.
• Can make decisions on a solid professional basis.
• Work in a structured way and keep an overview, also when several tasks must be handled simultaneously.
• Thrive with both independent work and teamwork.
• Have a driver’s license and your own car.

About the team

You will become part of our four-person loss adjuster team. We work closely together, help each other across tasks and prioritize both professional sparring and social wellbeing. You will have your fixed base at the head office in Thisted, so even though your work is planned individually, you will never be alone with your tasks.
