Teacher for a maternity-leave substitute in the upper grades at Lyreskovskolen

Two of our skilled teachers are going on maternity leave, and we are still looking for two engaged teachers for maternity substitutes on a full-time basis with start by December 1, 2026.

We are seeking someone who has subject-specific competence in Danish and home economics, and who wants to become part of a school where we value strong relationships, professionalism, community, and close teamwork.

About Lyreskovskolen

Lyreskovskolen has about 450 students, including a special center with about 34 students. The total staff comprises 50 teachers and pedagogues, three department heads, a principal, and 8 service staff. We are happy to share our extensive professional knowledge, good humor and many experiences.

About the job

You will primarily work in the upper grades, where you become part of a strong and engaged teacher team around the students. For both positions there will be attached a homeroom teacher function, so you have the opportunity to be close to the students and play an important role both academically and socially.

We believe that we get better together. Therefore we work with professional learning communities, where through close and committed teamwork we support each other and hold each other to creating the best conditions for students' learning, development and well-being.

You will have the opportunity to brainstorm with colleagues – both in your own team and across year groups, subjects and teams. In this way we actively attempt to bring the school's many different competencies into play.

We make a special effort to give new employees a good start. Therefore you will have a mentor who accompanies you and helps you settle well into both the task, the team, and the school's daily life.

About you

We expect that you professionally

• are a trained teacher
• have Danish and/or home economics as your major subjects
• can create structure and secure frameworks through good classroom management
• want to create motivating and varied teaching
• can work inclusively and with relational competence
• want to develop your own practice and learn together with your colleagues

If you also have a major in physical education and experience/interest in the AKT area, that would be a very good additional competence – but it is not a requirement.
