Teacher for Sprogcenter Nordvestjylland - maternity leave cover

At Sprogcenter Nordvestjylland there is a position as a Danish language teacher to be filled by 1 February 2027 at the latest. The position is a maternity leave substitute, and desired to be filled initially until 30 November 2027.

About us

Sprogcenter Nordvestjylland is an inter-municipal language school that offers certified Danish language instruction to international citizens, sectors and companies in the Holstebro, Lemvig and Struer municipalities. Sprogcenter Nordvestjylland has approximately 550 enrolled students, about 900 learners through the year, distributed across about 70 nationalities.

We have ongoing intake, learners in day and evening slots, online teaching and specially designed programs for companies, industries and job centers in the three municipalities. We always keep the learner at the center with the aim of empowering the citizen to be able to navigate Danish society and a Danish workplace.

We expect

• The teaching is planned in self-managing teams, so we expect you to enjoy collaborating with colleagues and management on teaching and pedagogical-didactic projects.
• We offer instruction in both day and evening classes as well as online, so we expect you to be service-minded and proactively contribute to tasks that need to be solved.
• We offer teaching in all three municipalities and expect you to be geographically flexible regarding planned teaching (travel allowance is provided).
• The position requires training as ’Teacher of Danish as a Second Language for Adults (DAV)’. Applicants who do not have the education can still be considered if they meet the admission requirements for the program (teacher education with minor in Danish, language or relevant bachelor with language).
