We are looking for a teacher at the International School of Kalundborg

We are growing and therefore searching for an engaged teacher for our new school.

The International School in Kalundborg (ISK) is Denmark's second international public school. ISK opened in August 2025 and is continuously developing. We create a lively, bilingual learning environment for both primary and middle school students, where curiosity, community and resilience form the basis of our school.

As a teacher at ISK you will be part of a dedicated team that is building a new international school with high academic standards, establishing the school's traditions and values, and inspiring students in a dynamic, international environment. Collaboration, flexibility and a growth-oriented approach will be key to creating a school where both students and teachers thrive. This year we have classes from 0th to 8th grade and in the coming years we will expand to 9th grade.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a teacher with the following competencies

• Relevant teacher education and at least two years of teaching experience.
• Danish as a major subject preferred (possibly DSA). For Danish teachers the language of instruction is Danish. Likewise, English at a high level is a necessity, as it is the common working language among colleagues.
• Passion for pedagogical development and an innovative and creative approach to teaching with a focus on 21st-century skills and cultural understanding.
• Experience from primary and lower secondary education is desirable.
• Have a passion for working with children in an international learning environment and be able to inspire and support students in their development.
• Understand that all teachers play a role in students' language development and therefore support both their academic and personal growth.
• Experience from international schools is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Be flexible, proactive, adaptable and eager to contribute to the school's culture and traditions.
• Actively participate in the development of the school's academic content and daily life.
• Thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration and be keen to work with students and parents from different cultures.
