We are seeking a teacher for the International School of Kalundborg

We are growing and therefore looking for an engaged teacher for our new school.

The International School in Kalundborg (ISK) is Denmark's second international public school. ISK opened in August 2025 and is in constant development. We create a lively, bilingual learning environment for both primary and middle school students, where curiosity, community and resilience form the basis of our school.

As a teacher at ISK you will become part of a dedicated team that is building a new international school with high academic standards, establishing the school's traditions and values, and inspiring students in a dynamic, international environment. Collaboration, flexibility and a growth-oriented approach will be the keys to creating a school where both students and teachers thrive. This year we have classes from 0th to 8th grade and will expand in the coming years with 9th grade.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a teacher with the following competencies

• Relevant teacher education and at least two years of teaching experience.
• Preferably Danish as a major subject, (possibly DSA). For Danish teachers, the teaching language is Danish. Likewise, English at a high level is a necessity, as it is the common working language among colleagues.
• Passionate about pedagogical development and uses an innovative and creative approach to teaching with a focus on 21st-century skills and cultural understanding.
• Preferably experience with early years and middle school.
• Have a passion for working with children in an international learning environment and can inspire and support the students in their development.
• Understand that all teachers play a role in students' language development and therefore support both their academic and personal development.
• Experience from international schools is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Be flexible, proactive, adaptable and eager to contribute to the school's culture and traditions.
• Participate actively in the development of the school's academic content and daily life.
• Enjoy collaboration across subject groups and be keen to work with students and parents from different cultures.
