Team lead, Guides

Do you like working with people, taking responsibility, and being the one who leads when something needs to happen? Then we may have the job for you.

At Stromma Denmark we are looking for a Team Lead for our Crewing team, which helps bring people, staffing and daily operations together.

You will be a visible part of our operations in Copenhagen and will play a central role in the daily coordination and development of our staff. Together with the rest of the Crewing team you help set the direction, create energy and ensure that our staff are well equipped to deliver fantastic experiences for our guests every day of the year.

You become the one the guides go to

As Team Lead you will be the primary contact for our guide group.

That means you must be able to lead from the front when required, but at the same time be the colleague who stands beside when a guide needs sparring.

You will, among other things,

• be visible in daily operations and be close to the guides
• coordinate staffing and rosters
• handle illness, holidays and the changes that inevitably arise when running a living organization
• recruit, integrate and follow up with new guides
• plan and follow up on training, onboarding and development
• ensure that the guides have the necessary competencies and certifications
• be part of developing our way of working
• contribute to a strong culture
• work closely with traffic management, boat captains, the shipyard and the other teams in operations
• be part of ensuring that our guests meet skilled, engaged and professional staff.

In short: You will help make people work well together so that operations run smoothly.

We are not necessarily looking for a finished leader

You do not need to come as a finished leader, but you should want to become one.

The most important thing is that you have the drive and the personality to lead from the front.

Perhaps you have already taken responsibility as a guide. Perhaps you have led a team, a project or an activity. Maybe you are simply the person others naturally look to when a decision needs to be made. The most important thing is that you like standing in front of people, you are not afraid to speak up and you can create engagement. And when something goes wrong, your first thought is not “that wasn’t my responsibility,” but rather “how do we fix this?”

You do not need to know everything from day one. Instead we expect you to have drive, an overview and a desire to develop both yourself and others.

It helps if you

• have experience with shift planning, staffing or coordination
• have worked with guides, tour leaders, service or other guest contact
• have experience with recruitment, onboarding and staff development
• have maritime experience
• are proficient with Office and digital systems
• speak and understand Danish and English, both spoken and written.
