About the job

Do you want to lead a team with specialized tasks and help support the interaction between operations, data, system management and cross-cutting governance? Are you keen to combine people leadership, professional direction and close collaboration with management and colleagues in an organization in development? Then you might be the team leader we are seeking!

The Danish Building and Property Agency is the state’s property company. We develop, build, operate and optimize the state’s workplaces and provide Facility Management solutions to a large and complex business. Right now we are looking for a team leader for the Centre for Facility Management, where we work with operations, governance and development. Solid data, good system support and strong collaboration are essential for the business to function, and this is where you as team leader for Team Data and Analysis can play a central role.

As team leader you will have line management responsibility for the team’s approximately 10 employees and at the same time become an important sparring partner for the centre head regarding prioritization, direction and coherence in task execution.

Your new day-to-day

In the position you will be responsible for the daily management of a team of skilled employees with different professional backgrounds and tasks, which place emphasis on high professionalism, accountability, knowledge sharing and a good working climate.

The team’s employees support, among other things, invoicing basis and data presentation in the FM area, bid lists, price structures, FM systems and other business-related deliverables, which have great significance for both operations, finance and development.

As a leader you follow up on tasks and well-being in the daily work and create good frameworks for collaboration and competence development through, among other things, whiteboard meetings, 1:1 conversations and MUS (employee development interviews).

In addition, your duties will include, among other things

  • Create coherence between the business needs, data, system support and processes and ensure that this is translated into concrete solutions
  • Support the team’s and the centre’s work with value-creating data presentation and business-relevant analyses
  • Support a stable and transparent basis for invoicing and other central deliverables in the FM area
  • Drive and qualify the work with bid lists and price structures, including for strategically important Facility Management tenders
  • Represent the area in relevant cross-cutting collaborations and governance fora and support the team’s role with respect to business ownership of central systems in the area

You will also need to contribute to management support and decision briefing papers.

You are entering a role with many interfaces to the rest of the organization, and where you will be central in creating a strong cross-functional collaboration that ensures that the business needs are communicated and translated into concrete solutions.

What we can offer you

With us you will have a central leadership role in an area of great importance to the overall Facility Management business. You will be part of a centre where the tasks are varied, and where there is a need for a leader who can create coherence, drive and good solutions across. At the same time you will have skilled colleagues with high ambitions who prioritize a good working environment.

You will form, together with the Centre Head, Kristina Witt Vejle, and your two closest team leader colleagues, Sophie and Jesper, the leadership team for the area Contract- Data and Centre Governance. In the leadership team we emphasize trust, sparring and close collaboration, where we help each other, enable each other to shine and take joint responsibility for both well-being, direction and results.

At the same time you will become part of the Centre for Facility Management’s overall leadership group, where you will contribute to joint leadership, prioritization and coordination of the centre’s tasks.

As a team leader you also join the agency’s overall management group, where you will have leadership colleagues with different professional backgrounds and tasks, who work together to develop and ensure good leadership and good cross-cutting collaboration in the Danish Building and Property Agency, for example via joint management meetings and leadership development seminars.

In this way you will have a day-to-day close to both business and employees, and you will be part of an organization where there is room to think anew and create improvements, and where there is good opportunity for sparring.

About you

We envision that you have a relevant postgraduate education, e.g., within social sciences, economics, public administration, IT or engineering. It is an advantage if you have experience in leading employees or have previously held a clearly coordinating or professionally leading role.

In addition, we emphasize that you

  • Have an understanding of the interaction between data, business, systems and processes
  • Can represent the area in cross-cutting collaborations and create coherence between professional needs, operations and development
  • Have an interest in, or experience with, data, system management or similar business-critical areas – preferably within Facility Management

As a person you are curious and motivated to find solutions together with others. You thrive in a day-to-day with many contact interfaces and changing problems, where you manage to create overview, prioritize and follow up. You do not need to be a specialist in all of the team’s areas, but you can understand complex issues, ask the right questions and create good frameworks for employees with specialized tasks. You communicate clearly and collaborate well with different professional disciplines and organizational units.

Experience from a politically governed organization or from a larger and more complex operations organization is an advantage.

Employment terms

You are hired under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You will be placed as a Senior Consultant with personnel management according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find HERE and the Employee and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you can find HERE.
