Team Leader for Payroll and Data in EK HR

The job

As Team Leader for Payroll and Data, you will be responsible for the daily management and development of the team, which consists of seven dedicated employees and a student assistant. You create clear priorities, support high quality in deliverables and ensure good collaboration internally in HR and with managers, finance and other parts of EK. You are close to both the employees and the tasks and can balance stable operations, timely deliveries and continuous improvements.

Your main tasks will be to

• exercise hands-on people management and set a clear direction for the team's tasks, collaboration and professional development
• ensure correct and timely payroll and personnel administration as well as a uniform and professional service
• prioritize tasks, plan capacity and follow up on quality, deadlines and mission-critical deliveries
• ensure reliable HR data, relevant management information and a clear basis for decision-making
• develop and standardize workflows, controls and documentation with a view to compliance, data protection and internal control
• drive improvements and support digitalization and system usage in the payroll and HR-data area
• collaborate closely with HR leadership, HR partners, finance, IT, managers and external partners
• actively contribute to cross-cutting HR priorities and the development of a cohesive, professional HR function.

The team and your workplace

Payroll and Data are part of EK HR. The team works with payroll and personnel administration, data quality, HR systems, reporting and support for the organization. You will be the leader of employees with specialized knowledge and diverse tasks, and you will need to create the framework for the professional areas to work together, and for the team to succeed with daily operations and to develop practices over time.

EK HR consists of a total of 18 employees plus two student assistants and supports the organization with, among other things, recruitment, employment law, payroll administration, occupational health and safety, personnel policies, competency development and HR data. We emphasize high professionalism, helpfulness, knowledge sharing and an open collaboration. As a leader you will also be part of a large educational organization with many skilled and experienced colleagues and an important societal mission.

Your background and competencies

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education degree combined with solid, relevant experience. You also have leadership experience.

We particularly emphasize that you

• have an understanding of payroll and personnel administrative processes, operational controls and the importance of high data quality
• can set direction, prioritize and follow up so the team experiences clear boundaries and momentum
• lead in an inclusive and respectful way and can develop both the individual employee and the team's overall task solution
• can translate rules, collective agreements and complex workflows into a safe and applicable practice
• have experience with process development, system support or digitalization and can maintain operations while changes are implemented
• have judgment, integrity and an eye for confidentiality, fairness and consistent treatment.

Experience from a public organization, the education sector or an organization with collective bargaining-regulated employment is an advantage.
